At the end of last year, with most of his colleagues stuck in Washington for an important Senate session on a Saturday, Sen. James M. Inhofe was in Tulsa getting spurs fastened onto a pair of boots.
“They’re ostrich,” said Inhofe (R-Okla.), the country’s most prominent climate-change denier, referring to his footwear. “Probably some endangered species; I have a reputation to maintain.”
Inhofe could have been wearing Birkenstocks and it wouldn’t have put a dent in his notoriety. The senator cemented his status as public enemy No. 1 for environmentalists long ago, topping it off with his 2012 book on climate change, “The Greatest Hoax.” This year he takes over the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee — the panel most associated with climate policy oversight — and says he plans to continue his role as a “one-man truth squad” on the issue.

The Greatest Hoax: How the Global Warming Conspiracy Threatens Your Future
For those that do not know or forgot... Jim Inhofe flew a Grumman Tiger to and from DC for years and, on one trip, HIS PROP Partially or totally separated from the plane! He immediately declared an emergency and flew HIS GLIDER to a safe landing at the nearest airport!
I don't know what he flies today...
I attended a conference last week where there were WH staff in attendance. The subject of climate change came in the context of big data, particularly observational data. The WH staffers could not help themselves but to sneer at those who “deny that the climate is changing”. No member of the panel had the temerity to let them know that they would be hard pressed to find any credible scientist who denies that the climate is changing. Panel members were equally lacking to point out the lack of observational data that indicates human induced climate change.
There’s global proof that climate changes in every textbook that everyone accepts: dinosaurs were here, and now they aren’t, and they didn’t commit suicide.

Senator Inhofe is true presidential material... it is a terrible shame that the way that the game is played will prevent him from being our next president.
