Who is Carly Fiorina?
Well, for starters, shes a hugely successful businesswoman who challenged Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) in 2010 -- and lost by double digits. She also once served as the CEO of Hewlett-Packard.
Nonetheless, now that Sen. Boxer is calling it quits in 2016 -- and Republicans are over the moon -- is her former challenger maybe interested in the seat?
Not at all.
On the Hugh Hewitt Show Friday night, she confirmed widely reported rumors that she might have grander, and indeed more ambitious, plans:
Maybe Bush, Christie, Romney, and Carly will split the RINO vote so a conservative has a chance.
I’ll also decide in March or April whether to run for President.
So take that, Carly!
Actually, she didn’t wreck HP, it was some jackass named Black.
You will get varying opinions on that.
What country?
The more RINOs the better. Run Carly Run!
What the hell, everybody else is...
Would not be shocked to see ten or more people running for president on the Republican side. Carly will be lucky to get 1% of the vote in Iowa or New Hampshire and no doubt she’ll bankroll most of her campaign herself. She has no shot but I guess when you get bitten by the presidential bug you get delusions of grandeur.
Oh my.
Don’t reach for the stars....lol.
She pioneered the outsourcing trend, and the subsequent destruction of CONUS engineering and manufacturing. Anyone here think she will get my vote?
What in God’s name makes this woman think that she is the person best qualified to run this country?
She wasn't happy with destroying just HP, she wants to ruin something much larger...
Fine. She can help split the Establishment vote.
Good point. I was going to say something like "Carly, you ignorant slut...", but on reconsideration (and recognizing that all RINOs are ignorant sluts) I second your motion:
Run Carly Run!
Didn't you read the article? She's a "hugely successful businesswoman". LOL
I favor amending the Constitution as follows:
1) Nonwithstanding Amendment I, publication in print or any other format of information describing the preferences of respondents to a “poll” or other questionnaire regarding an electoral contest for Federal office is forbidden.
2) Any person who states, or permits through inaction to be stated, a desire to be considered as a candidate for President or Vice-President prior to June 1 of the year in which the election is to take place is ineligible to the office.
3) “Political parties” are private organizations. No State may confer ballot access or any ballot preference to any organization or entity constituting a “party” for a Federal election. No state may provide financial or technical assistance to any “party” for the purpose of conducting “primary elections” for a Federal office, and no state may interfere, through legislation or regulation, with the conduct of any “primary election” by any private organization.
In the primaries we want LOTS of RINOs. The GOPe has lost control of the RINO herd for the first time in my memory.
She was the one who pushed the Compaq acquisition in order to go into low margin business (PCs) rather than improve their very high margin businesses (e.g., printers and printer supplies). No wonder the Board fought to get rid of her.
You will get varying opinions on that.
...well at least it only took $50 MM bucks to make her go away and what’s a bunch of millions to HP shareholders anyway?
Morons on the Board....but having driven the stock price down to $15, at least paying the get out of town bonus allowed for a triple to $45! Lots of warrants at $60+ dead and gone tho...yeah, thanks Carli, such a strategic thinker....
