An accountant at a New York ad firm leaped to his death because he was hallucinating that the mannequins at his Manhattan office were chasing him, it was claimed today. David Caquais, 43, opened at window at Catch NY on the fourth floor of a building in Manhattan's Garment District and jumped out about 9pm on January 2. The New York Post reports that Mr Caquais screamed 'They're after me! They're after me!' as he ran around his office and attempted to kick out windows.

I wish, that was pure D-shearian meanderings.

It reminded me of his poem “The Second Coming”

I like your meanderings.

I admit to having a passing influence from Yeats.
Also Tennyson.
Though I am a terrible writer.
Seriously, just watch my sentence structure and typos.

“I wish, that was pure D-shearian meanderings.”

There the Brown Leather bound book sat upon the third shelf of my bookcase, its eyes surveying the room spread before it.
An occasional puff of Green steam and an iridescent blue light emitted from the pages reassured the other books upon the shelf that the contents where safely under control.
Just a small pool of coffee had to be mopped up from the floor each morning by the house keeper.
For Forty generations the Book of “ Pure D-shearian meanderings” had lurked undisturbed upon that shelf, the half inch thick calfskin restraining the unknowable knowledge bound within....
Now the Eyes of the book where filled with terror......a hand had been placed upon the spine and was pulling.....!
It was Ceirdwyn!
Noooooo! Hissed the other books as the covers rubbed in passing.
The hands released the clasp on the back of the book and lowered it gently upon the Reading stand.
The Antique Calfskin cover creaked as it was prized open, for only it knew the contents yet to be revealed.........

If I was stranded on a desert island, the three poets I would take would be Yeats, Tennyson, and Eliot.

At one time I was a very good/successful writer. I’ve gotten lazy in the last two or three years. Now I just write for myself.

Wouldn’t Ceirdwyn place a paw on said book, not a hand? :)

Nevertheless, this is brilliant, it reminds me of Lovecraft. I’m going to ask our Lovecraft expert for a second opinion......

Thank you. :)
This is Forty Generations in the future: "For Forty Generations the book had laid undisturbed...".
About 800 years; Ceirdewyn Could be anyone, not Dark`s cat....necessarily.
Unless you like the RedDwarf Idea it was based upon. :).

"This is Forty Generations in the future:"

Ah. This I understand. Time is mine to play with, both past and future.

"The past is prologue ..." -- No, no, no. The past is backstory, whose only purpose is to shade and limn the beginning of the tale.

And that foggy port we call the future; that is waiting for our dénouement, the revelation or ravelation of our purpose, and the meaning behind it all.

Kipling, A.E. Houseman, and Homer. Does Homer count as a poet?

As long as it’s the Greek, and not the Simpson.

That looks so much like the kind of country I grew up in! It must be beautiful!

And I have a few pics of the back of that truck! LOL! Has it been two years since you were here???

I miss you, so I hope AZ catches up on the IT Highway, soon.

Congratutlations on the photobucket account! I like it because I don’t have to work too hard to post things. If it’s not on photobucket, I can’t figure it out!

Red Dwarf is my favorite TV show of all time, from either side of the pond.

My cat was named Holly by the shelter because she was rescued near Christmas. I kept it because it is a character from Red Dwarf.

I still have the first 8 seasons on VHS. I have the entire series now on DVD.

I’m sorry. I just love that show.

The entire sum of Human knowledge compressed into 8 series. :)
My Guitar playing is very reminiscent of Dave Lister......

Well! Good news! I not only lost the six pounds I gained while being catered to, but I dropped one more for a total of 37#! YAY, ME!!! (I was pretty sick yesterday, so I’m sure that helped!)

I’m going to go to Busdaddy’s to watch the game, since I don’t want to watch it at home alone. No laundry this time. Just diet stuff and Super Bowl food. I’m doing good!

Wearing my Patriots shirt, but that’s only because I don’t have a Seahawks cap, or I would be wearing it, too! I like both teams so I will be happy whoever wins.

Good. If you’re going to have a book of poetry on a desert island, it should be a good, long one!

Congratulations on your outstanding success! I’m making some effort this week ;-).

Have a great time with the game. It will almost be bedtime here before it starts.

You are right, and Lister and Kochanski make the greatest love story ever told.

What man would search for 3 billion years for his girl? And a curry?

I actually started guitar lessons a few months ago. I’m really bad at it.
