If I remember right, Ford was one of the few that DIDN’T receive a bailout; they refused. How utterly crass that he chooses their factory to speak...

Does the $10Bil lost on GM also include the >$12Bil that taxpayers were forced to give to Ally (formerly GMAC Finance)? Remember, the ‘most’ transparent administration also split out GMAC/ALLY from GM in 2009 so the losses on the auto bailout wouldn’t look so bad.

I completely agree that this was wrong and underhanded. However, it appears that the government came out a little ahead on the Ally deal.

doesn’t really matter, they were robbing the stockholders to benefit the UAW and all that.

Government should never make private loans.

We actually made $2.4 billion on Ally:

http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/cars/2014/12/19/us-tarp-ally-auto-bailout/20659473/

Last shares of Ally were sold last month.

We actually gave Ally $17 billion, and recovered $19.4 billion.

This was the only part of the auto bailout that made a profit.

“Bammy certainly knows how to manufacture stuff...”

Yeah, stuff like alternatives to reality! The pictures he paints are strictly for appearances sake and he has an audience who can’t get enough of that smooth Obama brand taste and I believe that in general, more people than ever have bad taste.
