Tomorrow's vote truly a harbinger vote for the next two years.

There aren't 29 votes? Will be watching the vote of the new congress critters. They are on probation. .

Not tomorrow.

I would truly be shocked if JB was defeated or even if it is close.

I just don’t think the opposition is very strong, organized, or unified from what I can tell.

I believe people said that for the last 2 elections. Must be an easy probation. No punishment ever comes of it for violations. Just reelections.

Since the vote is tomorrow and my rep is leaving, can he vote against Boehner?

“We don’t want Madame Hillary skating. Don’t know anyone who is better suited to keep that from happening than Gowdy.”

I thought he was going to do something but???? Benghazi, Fast and Furious, IRS, Nothing, Nothing, Nothing. We have 235 Rino Congress people and 12 Conservative Republicans??? My congressman alan nunnelee Mississippi says the election came out the way it did because the people want us all to get along. I want a warrior to smite the bastards.

Many here are enamored with Gowdy. I am not. I am not against him or calling him phony but I don’t see a solid conservative inside him. I hear a lot of talk but very little action. I see two faces.

However, I did see one thing that showed me he could be genuine. He joined Ted Cruz in filing an Amicus Brief on the 25+ State Lawsuit against Obama’s Executive Amnesty. He did that with nearly 30 other members of Congress (last I heard now about 69 members).

On the other hand he has a plum committee with a lot of budget and a lot of power. However again, he’s got zero results to show for it.

But a large committee budget along with power can buy a lot of friends. And I think that’s why Gowdy is kissin up to Boehner.

Let me tell you why Boehner’s got to go and it has nothing to do with his crying or his alcoholism or his kissin up to Obama, etc.

Boehner has no excuse NO EXCUSE for not proposing a short term stopgap bill to fund the federal government for a few weeks to a couple of months max and wait for the new Congress to get seated and take up budget priorities.

Instead Boehner rammed through a budget IN A LAME*DUCK SESSION that gave Obama everything he wanted.

There is simple no excuse for that. There is no argument that can justify what he did. He sold out pure and simple.

And now Boehner and McConnell are crafting a ‘Border Security’ diversion so they can slip funding for Obama’s Executive Amnesty under the radar.

This is why Boehner must go.

You arent alone. Unfortunately we have to fight our own supposed people before we can hope to join the actual battle. Because they keep ensuring the RINOs hold power.

Its fairly telling what cowards there are now simply because they play hide and seek out of fear. Will they? Won’t they?

How can anyone there not know what they will do? They know. They are politicking the base to get the best CYA when they cave.

Clarification - can the recently elected house critters vote, or are they sworn in after the speaker is sworn in?

The citizen media at work:

US House GOP Candidate from Iowa’s 3rd District David Young June 5, 2014

At the 4:20 mark- sacred promises are made to the people of Council Bluffs.
“Senator Grassley taught me 3 things really that are most important to me. How to listen. You’re my boss. I could be no better advocate if I don’t know what your concerns are. Two. You’re my boss. Period. It’s not Mitch McConnell, it’s not John Boehner. It’s the folks in Council Bluffs, Sidney, Greenfield, Van Meter where I’m from. And three, as a person of faith, you can get things done out there without having to sell your soul......”

— Congressman David Young - June 5, 2014 Council Bluffs, Iowa.

“RINOs are destroying the Republican party.”

What you’re referring to as RINOs are in fact the (diseased) heart and (putrifying) soul of the gop.

You might find 20-25 righteous men and women tomorrow. But that’s about it.

Steve Pearce is “Undecided” according to his ‘spokesman’

Maybe you guys can help give him a little nudge in the right direction.
(I just did; Told him to please support Gohmert... Or even throw his own hat in the ring)

I called my rep. Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins of the 2nd district of Kansas. Her staffer said “She feels that of the people who put their name out there, Boehner is the most qualified. Gohmert doesn’t have enough support from the conservative caucus and Yoho has only served one term.” I asked, “So someone who consistently caves to Obama’s agenda is the most qualified?” He said, “If someone more conservative put their name out there, she would consider them.” I asked, “Has she not considered running herself?” He said, “No, she’s been nominated for (some stupid committee chair).” I asked, “Who nominated her for that?” His reply, “I don’t know.” My guess is one of Boehner’s allies nominated her.

She confirmed why I voted for a Libertarian in November for the first time in my life.

Who knows? The GOP changed the rules behind the scenes on a lot of things. I don’t think anyone knows for sure because of it.

Tomorrow’s vote will be very telling for Conservatives and their future in the GOP. If Boehner wins, particularly if he wins easily, there is no hope of reforming the GOP from within. That is nothing more than a fool’s errand. A big Boehner win means it is time to leave the GOP no matter the cost.

Called Rep. Labrador's office directly this morning and said I wanted Raul to vote for Louie Gohmert. Asked about the call volume and he said they've been getting lots of calls.

Update - Just called Labrador's office and the guy said Labrador was undecided. Labrador's direct number: 1-202-225-6611

“Nope. Boring as helL”

You’re right. Electoral politics HAS become boring as hell. Predictable to nth degree. Like a bad soap opera. The only interesting part, and I use that term very loosely, is to see the details of the choreography. And some level of gallows humor.

Of course there will be a dramatic build up to the oh too predictable vote tomorrow. The end result isn’t in dispute: the uniparty’s favorite will be elected. Its just a question of first ballot or secomd and how many votes. And do I really care?

On that note, I’m going to do something useful. Enjoy the comedy tomorrow.
