Running Total of Republicans that will Not Vote for Boehner for Speaker
January 5, 2015 | Self

Posted on 01/05/2015 6:03:27 AM PST by Seattle Conservative

LibFreeUSA suggested this on the thread linked below, but didn't see one in my search.

Starting a thread to keep a running total of those Republicans that have publically stated that they will not vote for Boehner for Speaker.

I hear many more members are working on statements to oppose Boehner as we speak...[and Stutzman]

Yeah, I’m getting the feeling the fix is in. I hope Hannity and Mark Levin talk about it.

“It should have been the first thing he talked about”

That’s what I thought. He’s now talking about how the poll also says Republicans support the Tea Party. He’s already off Boehner.

:-) Hi AB,

I called my Rep Reichert’s offices both in DC and Issaquah. Live people answered the phone and both were very polite and listened, but I don’t have huge hopes that he’ll vote against Boehner. I suggested to both that they look at Boehner’s facebook page and see comments from all over the country, that there were plenty more than me that were not at all happy with him backing Obama’s agenda and not being more conservative like the voters want, that our country is going downhill and we need new leadership(paraphrasing).

After reading a post here that the person that answered the rep’s phone asked if they were a robo-caller, I also told the Issaquah office that I had contact with a friend that called their rep and mentioned this. I said I’ve heard about them and heard serial callers or robo-callers (whatever one wants to call them) on C-Span and I could assure her that I was not one of them. That this was an issue that was extremely important to me so that’s why I called.

The media has been threatened, including Clear Channel. As Sharyl Atkisson has suggested - and as one talk-show host gave my research partner a signed statement about - the regime decides what it’s OK for media personalities to talk about. They’ll let them talk about just enough to make it seem that we still have a “conservative media” when in reality that media has been taken hostage. Saddam Hussein did the same thing (only using “carrots” instead of “sticks”) to get CNN to air his propaganda under the cover of CNN’s “credibility” in the world.

Those are the “covert means” I referred to in my last post, and we have ZERO chance of getting a free America back unless and until we confront how this system has been taken hostage. It’s not going to happen with Rush’s help; that’s precisely the point. We are literally on our own, because anybody powerful enough to do the work for us has already been taken hostage. That is reality, and we need to face it and rise to the challenge, or America is over.

The first call Rush took was on this story.
The caller was good. But Rush didn’t give him much time. Hopefully all the other calls are on this subject.

I should have said “those are SOME OF the ‘covert means’ I referred to”.

There are a lot more covert means that have been used in addition to this. For instance, a regime entity planted classified documents on Sharyl Atkisson’s computer so they could throw her in jail if necessary to keep her from exposing the OTHER covert things they’ve been doing. Illegally firing the Inspectors general who intended to serve We the People instead of the corruptocracy should have been an omen to everybody about what would happen under cover of darkness if they would even do that in the light of day...

We NEED somebody who is willing to deal with what has REALLY been going on in this country, to put us in this awful mess where nobody even recognizes this country any more. Not us, not our allies.

Now, Rush is back on fluff pieces (white wine and women). Something is going on here. There’s plenty to talk about on this subject with tomorrow’s upcoming Speaker election.

Great posts and I agree!

I think Rep Gohmert would be terrific as Speaker and to help move us in the right direction. He’s somewhat plainspoken but yet very articulate, seems firm but easy going, and was a former judge, so I think he knows and understands the law, and, from what I’ve heard of him, he’s a Constitutional Conservative (very important to me). Don’t know for a fact, but it also seems that he hasn’t been drowned by Potomac Kool-Aid, so appears very honest and a for the people and the Constitution guy. I’ve supported him from afar for quite some time and have told his offices that on more than 1 occasion.

Listening on and off to the station that carries Rush in Tucson. News break have our new republican rep McSally saying because she won by only 170 votes, this is a signal to her that “we want” her to go to DC and compromise.

I have multiple turncoats to atone for, including Sen. Flake, who I heard this morning that he won’t oppose BO’s overreach on amnesty because he thinks the policy is generally sound.

Blast these unprincipled idiots!

Flake - doesn’t surprise me (but disappoints me)> I think he may be a McCain disciple. Could be wrong, but wasn’t he one of the original Gang for (non-)Comprehensive Immigration Reform?

See my post 105.

Could be that Rush is talking fluff to help us know he’s hostage.

Don’t forget that the same day that Andrew Breitbart dropped dead (a few hours after telling Joe Arpaio that Joe’s evidence of Obama fraud was good), Rush was sent what his team interpreted as a bomb threat, referring to 2 famous assassinations. Some here said that Rush was audibly shaken up by it.

I know that feeling. That’s how you feel when you’re put in contact with Terry Lakin’s legal team to provide evidence of HDOH falsification of records and the NEXT DAY your husband comes in almost hysterical because there are sparks near the engine of his van because the sheathing on the wiring has been cut.

Stuff like that is intended to shut people up.

Stuff like having classified documents planted on your computer is meant to shut people up (like Sharyl Atkisson).

These are the “games” this lawless regime plays. Breitbart’s death and the threats to Rush, all on the same day as Arpaio’s press conference to announce probable cause of forgery and fraud... was a warning shot across the bow. And the media heard that shot loud and clear. Including Rush.

Whoever is the new Speaker will be in charge when Sheriff Joe comes out with much more damning evidence regarding the covert “games” this regime has been playing all along. The regime knows this Speakership counts A LOT.

You are right that there is more behind Rush’s stance today than meets the eye. I hope and pray that SOMEDAY it will finally be OK for witnesses/victims to talk about the elephant in the room, that everybody knows is there but nobody will ever confront. Sharyl Atkisson has made a good start on it, but her threatened colleagues won’t pick up on it and bring it to the nation’s front page.

She decided to compromise to satisy the ones who didn’t vote for her? Hopefully, the ones who did vote for her will throw her out.

He was a good when he was a rep, but boy howdy, he has changed. I think he has become a pod person. He also seems to like to pal around in Cuba. The next election cycle can’t come soon enough for me in AZ.

Just heard briefly on FNC there’s one more that will vote against Boehner - we’re up to 10 now. Add him to the list above:

Rep. Gary Palmer (Ala.) (freshman)

Here are parts of her interview with Chris Wallace yesterday:

“MCSALLY: Well, my district is very diverse. And I think it does represent America, but 50 percent of the people didn’t vote for me. And what I was hearing through the course of the almost three years campaigning was people want Congress to work for them. And their focus areas right now from southern Arizona are the economy and security. Those are really the two main issues. Democrats, business owners can agree that they want to grow their small business.”

and

“And the people that I’m talking in my district they want to revamp and modernize the legal immigration system so that if somebody wants to come here to work or they graduate from the University of Arizona with the Ph.D., they don’t go back to one of our competitors we actually give them an opportunity to come here, work, pay taxes, and all into that spectrum. And so, my district is looking for common-sense solutions to address root causes. These political maneuvering by the Obama administration is addressing some of the hotbed issues that are really more symptoms. And we need bipartisan solutions to address some of those, but we have got to focus on the root causes, which is border security and modernizing the legal immigration system. So, it’s responsive to our economic needs.”

Same thing w/ Laura Ingraham this morning... She didn’t seem to make a big deal out of pushing for change. She had Rep. Louie Gomert (sp?) on, but talked over him and not much real encouragement to him, or the listeners, to do all that they can to dump Boenher. Very disappointing.

I agree... That is VERY disappointing... from Laura.

It's heartbreaking, actually, because, you see, I have the biggest crush on her.

Alabama report. Trying to obtain information from Mo Brooks (AL-5). His local office number is going to voice mail.

Pending a response from my request, I'd put Brooks at 80-90% chance of voting against Boehner.

No idea on the rest of the Alabama GOP delegation with one exception: Bradley Byrne will almost assuredly go with Boehner. Some of the others are squishy - my best hope is for a 50-50 split (which would be 3 for; 3 against; 1 Rat in the house).
