TV host and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee says he is leaving his Fox News talk show as he considers whether to seek the Republican nomination for president, a decision he expects to reach in the spring.

Huckabee said Saturday night's edition of "Huckabee" would be his last as he ponders his political future. The weekly show, which is taped with a live audience and features political commentary as well as interviews with guests and musical entertainment, has been on the air for more than six years.

"There has been a great deal of speculation as to whether I would run for president. If I were willing to absolutely rule that out, I could keep doing this show. But I can't make such a declaration," he said on the show, according to a statement provided by his office.

Sarah would be crucified in an election - in fact the GOP would see that she had NO money for a campaign. So why should she run? Does anyone think donations from ordinary hard working people like us are going to get her into the WH? Besides, the Alinsy-ing of Sarah worked really well - the targeting has turned her into a joke for too many people who don’t realize all the effort the left put into this just showed how threatened they felt.

We’ve seen what the RINO GOP does to those who don’t toe the NWO liberal “government is your master, not your servant” line. They call in the rats on robo calls and entice them to vote for the RINO against the real conservative. They betray the voters who just gave them a landslide.

So tell me, why should Sarah run? To endure the pain to herself and her family? To be called a quitter - even by SOME conservatives? There isn’t even a consensus here at FR - where you’d expect to find her unwavering support.

It’s easy for us to say she should be out there - in the arena - getting absolutely hammered like a gladiator while the rest of us sit at our computers ...effectively holding up scores like the judges on Dancing with the Stars.

I agree with Sarah on almost everything and I think I can understand why she didn’t run but if she changed her mind she’d have my enthusiastic vote.

I like Mike Huckabee.

If he runs for president, I will support him. Enthusiastically.

I idn’t watch him on Fox, in fact made a point to switch to other networks. Just don’t like the man nor how he speaks. ...and certainly never someone I could see as Pres. of this Nation.

Am so sick of all these re-run politicians. ...and the idiots who support them.

His daughter turned out very nicely. What happened to the Springer Spaniel in the first pic? Most likely, “Fluffy”
has passed on, replaced by Muffy the black Lab. Family dogs only last so long.

"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

Obviously, the RINOs have already promised Huckabee a ton of money to help block any conservative from the nomination.

This goober is not going to get close, but he can run interference for the other communists.

yes, his whole strategy is to win the fringe 30% of Iowa, which is enough to win the state in a crowded field, and then capitalize on that.

No way he EVER moves a large voter bloc.....no way, no how....

Huck and Santorum will cancel each other out....Cruz will get some social conservative votes and a lot of small government conservative votes also. Cruz is stronger on Israel than the Santuckabee (or Huckatorum) cabal is.

..as for the TV show, I’ve one word word; RATINGS. And Huck, don’t forget your git-fiddle on the way out.
Basically this is Fox’s diplomatic way of acknowledging either “PAID IN FULL” or a terrible marketing decision.
Recall him being water boy at Michigan but after a half-season he transferred to Arkansas for a tackling dummy slot.
Then his career trajectory took a nose dive when he stopped music lessons and took up politics.
Man’s saving grace is that he’s not a lawyer.

His intent is to peel of many of the baptistic conservatives and thereby split the conservative vote on behalf of the GOP-E.

"Don’t worry about it, Huckabee doesn’t have a chance in hell."

You are right. He has two chances. Slim & None.
The only way I would vote for him is if it comes down to him or hitlery.

What I found interesting at the time with her going on Levin’s show to say she wasn’t running, was how non-chalant Rush took the whole thing, when pressed by a caller on Rush’s show the next day airing. Rush acted like it was all so inconsequential, almost like a “Palin who?” At the time, I wondered if Rush was a bit put out with Palin for making the announcement on Levin’s show instead of Rush’s show. Aside from her first speech after being picked by McCain and her excellent speech at the convention, for the more part, Palin has left me feeling quite underwhelmed. Anyway, all “water under the bridge, now” as they say.
