The Daily Signal ^ | 12-31-14 | Sharyl Attkisson

It neither “exonerates” nor “debunks.”

It specifically states that it is not the final word on Benghazi.

Yet national press outlets claimed all of the above about the House Intelligence Committee report on Benghazi released on Nov. 21.

(Snip)

The [news media] articles advance limited and sometimes inaccurate representations of the committee report. They fail to acknowledge the countless documented instances in which the Obama administration provided false or conflicting information about Benghazi, and hid information entirely from public view.

It was not a botching by the media — it was a cover up of the administration’s true intentions, plain and simple.

Fact is that, Obama and his administration, and democrats, are winning on this issue.

The idea is to stonewall all investigations, until Obama is out of the White House. And, even if charges were to be brought up, the case wouldn’t even come up before Obama was long gone.

By the final year of Obama, people will have started to look at the next president, and Obama will begin to be viewed as the golfer-in-chief, who will not matter anymore and people won’t care about his or any of his administration’s member misdeeds. It will be, “let it go” time, or “what difference does it make” time.

During this regime, the media have shown that they are the most corrupt and partisan institution in American society.

“During this regime, the media have shown that they are the most corrupt and partisan institution in American society.”

That is true, but it is true because the four or five people who own/control the media companies are clear in what their desires are, kind of like the Obama administration and its underlings. If they desired honest reporting, it would appear tomorrow.

BOTCHED —that word is getting overused A LOT, recently:

“Fast & Furious was a botched ATF Operation”

Hey, if you jump off a freaking bridge and go SPLAT, did you botch the job? I would submit that you succeeded with flying colors.

The media are consummate cover-up experts, and Benghazi was Exhibit A showing their prowess.

They didn’t want the truth to reach the ears of The Average Joe, and it sure as hel* didn’t.

BOTCHED..?

Naw.

“The necessity of further investigation isn’t a function of how many probes have been held, but of their depth and quality as well as the contradictions unearthed and the quantity of outstanding questions. In those respects, one could easily argue there haven’t yet been enough investigations into Benghazi.”

And therein lies the rub.

That these investigations yielded absolutely nothing actionable from the Judiciary exports their lack of interest and further demonstrates their desire to be seen as “rock stars” of sorts.

The whole thing is a colossal waste of time and for the purpose of putting “time and space” between the event and 2016.

Then they will conclude, “while it is sad that some Americans lost their lives, there is nothing to be gained by looking backward, at the previous administration and as such, we are moving on and solving today’s issues.”

Mark my words “absolutely nothing will ever come of this” or Fast and Furious, which has similarly lost its shelf life already...

And really “What Difference Does it Make...At this Point?”

Well, here we are. It’s the first day of a new year. The problem with this is all the people looking the other way. Hillary and Obama have the Democrats convinced that any opening of the door on LIBYA will destroy the Democrat Party. They are effectively blackmailing their own party.
Hillary and Obama (and the Grifters supporting them) have also convinced the leaders of the Republican Party and various departments of the Federal Government and the Federal Judiciary, that this story is just too dangerous. It might be because of Qadaffi’s missing treasure. It might be because we surrendered to terrorists and then supplied them. It might be because there are hundred of weapons released from Libya that could bring civilian aviation (and thus economies) to a standstill. It could be that the American people would totally lose faith in our government. My guess is probably all these and several more problems.
This then leads to our leaders realizing that they can use this fear to do anything they want. Once you are blackmailed into keeping quiet on one issue, you can then be blackmailed into being quiet on many issues.
I think that nothing cures the putrification of this nation by these idiots better than good old sunshine. Get everything about LIBYA out into the open. These assholes that keep whispering about how releasing information on this matter is just too hard for the American people to handle are guilty bastards trying to get away with even more corruption. Open it up! Let the CIA employees from BENGHAZI speak. I’m tired of these halfwits in government pulling dirty deals claiming that they are so much smarter than the average American citizen. Screw them. They aren’t that smart. And we aren’t babies that need to have the truth kept from us. We need the whole truth in order to make correct political, economic and security decisions.

The media didn’t botch anything. They are running a disinformation campaign to protect and advance Obama.
