The controversial Dec. 13 clip from Sleeper 13 Productions in San Francisco, titled Stop Gun Violence - PSA, shows a teenage boy take a handgun from his mothers dresser drawer, stash it in his backpack, and bring it to class. Walking up to his teacher after the period ends, the student slaps the gun on her desk. Can you take this away? the child actor asks the shocked teacher. I dont feel safe with a gun in my house.
Then the messages Our children deserve a safe world and Stop gun violence now are plastered onscreen before production credits run, notably lacking any sponsors or collabor
The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms even put out a press release detailing the number of crimes depicted in the piece. Were talking about felony theft of a firearm, illegal possession of a handgun by a minor, having a gun in a school, illegal concealed carry by a minor, brandishing and maybe one or two other crimes, depending upon the jurisdiction, wrote chairman Alan Gottlieb on Dec. 22. At the very least, the boy in this video would wind up being arrested and face felony charges. As should the creator, Gottlieb continued: The message of this video is so monumentally stupid that if any youth does something like this after watching it, the producers should face charges.
But the filmmaker, Rejina Sincic, told Yahoo Parenting that she stands by the piece and its message. Kids shouldnt have access to firearms in their homes, Sincic emailed Yahoo Parenting, without responding to an inquiry about who sponsored the video. Violent crimes have been committed by children who wrongfully had access to firearms. Society as a whole should take stricter measures to keep guns out of the hands of children.

This video is so bad, that the Anti-Gun groups have accused here of being...A PRO GUN PLANT!
....
I smell a rat here, Ladd Everitt, a spokesman for the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, told Vocativ on Tuesday. To me, this reeks of something thats been planted.
Its shocking how this suddenly went viral on right wing media when no one in our movement is promoting this video, Everitt continued. Im actively questioning who this woman is. And Id like to know who paid for this and why.

Just the words “Anti-Gun PSA” qualify as Monumentally Stupid
Sleeper 13 needs infinite sleep
No it wouldn't. PSA is an abbreviation of Public Service Announcement. FCC rules require a certain amount of PSA's and other public interest programming per month as part of the licensing requirements for radio and TV stations. The makers of the PSA don't pay a dime towards the ad time they use.
oh thats right ..I forgot the PSA...”segment”
Wow, that smacks of Nazi youth movement.
“But the filmmaker, Rejina Sincic, told Yahoo Parenting that she stands by the piece and its message.”
Her @zz will be in court muy pronto by parents of busted kids.
We are in an era where kids are suspended or expelled for merely drawing crude pictures of guns, pointing their fingers and yelling “Bang,” or chewing Poptarts into a gun shape. Monumental Stupidity doesn’t begin to cover it.
lol
walking around in women’s underwear...
The very best way of attacking this ad would be by continuing it. That is, show the “teenage boy” arrested, expelled from school, and sent to jail with hardcore violent inmates.
After being brutalized by them, he is released to his mother, who informs him that while his parents still love him, it is time for him to move out and live on his own. So instead of going to college, his father has lined up a job for him, stacking bags of concrete onto shipping pallets. The best job he can get until he gets his GED.
I think this would do more than any amount of complaining about their advertisement.
Yes, ‘monumentally stupid’ is right.
I believe that conspiracy to commit a felony is a crime in America. So as soon as the first student steals a firearm (federal felony) and brings it to a school (federal felony), the producer of this film should be prosecuted for conspiracy to commit two felonies for each firearm.
“turn in your parents”
Orwell.
Brainwashing the children to turn in daddy’s guns to the state.
The Evil Ones set children against their own parents many times before, including Nazi Germany and Stalin’s Russia.
