CIA shows agents how to keep their cover at Israeli airport, leaked file shows

The U.S. Central Intelligence Agency guides its people how to enter and exit Israel through Ben-Gurion International Airport without blowing their cover during security checks, according to a secret document revealed by WikiLeaks Sunday night.

The CIA document provides further evidence that Israel serves as a target for operations by the spy agency.

The document, titled "CIA Assessment on Surviving Secondary Screening at Airports While Maintaining Cover" and dated September 2011, contains a long list of guidelines for operatives using false identities.

According to the document, it is based on original intelligence reports, opinions and testimonies of CIA operatives collected through May 2010.

"Secondary screening – a potentially lengthy and detailed look by airport officials at passengers not passing initial scrutiny – can significantly stress the identities of operational travelers," reads the introduction. "Referral to secondary screening can occur if irregularities or questions arise during any stage of airport processing – immigration, customs, or security – and regardless of whether the traveler is arriving, in transit, or departing. Officials may also randomly select travelers."

I hope that our CIA receives training in how to enter countries unnoticed.

The good thing is that 100’s of thousands of illegal aliens need NO training in how to enter this country unnoticed.

The problem isn’t the operatives, it is their political bosses that leak information such as their real identities for profit. Bill Clinton gave away operative names. I have no doubt Zero and his handlers are doing the same thing now.

I would never go clandestine with this administration having my identity’s secrets at their disposal. I just turned down an offer to go to Iraq because I have no faith that this administration, while approving the missions, actually seeks to sabotage them from succeeding by killing off the field personnel.

It is also a good thing that our intelligence people train in how to enter foreign countries undetected.

Your suspicions are confirmed by the leaking/publishing of this article.

I’m sure that the Israelis are just overjoyed about this leak. Good thing that only we know how to do this... :(

Of course, these tricky techniques are not needed here. While you are getting your underwear turned inside-out at the airport, others can just walk right in.

“The CIA document provides further evidence that Israel serves as a target for operations by the spy agency.”

News flash, EVERY country is a target for operations by the CIA. That’s kind of their job.

Note to self: Don’t say “ummm” or pick lint off clothes when being questioned at the airport.

Mao did this very thing, then claimed the Nationalists were too powerful, to justify asking for more support from Stalin.

Letting a spy on through and watching him might be a better option for Israel. They are mainly looking for potential hijackers. To date no US spy has downed an Israeli flight.

I would be very surprised if Mossad didn’t know CIA operatives’ flight numbers well in advance of their arrival, holding up their real names on those limo drivers’ placards as they cleared customs.

“The CIA is notorious for their sloppy field craft.”

The CIA is nothing but a bureaucrat organization that produces very little useful information or conducts useful operations. Like any org with money, it became corrupted with academics, posers, frauds, and “managers”. Years back I did a short job in Columbia. I heard all kinds of great things about one particular CIA operative. I found he, like so many in the CIA, was nothing but a poser taking credit for other people’s work, usually the work of contractors. He never got his hands dirty and never had any ideas or answers. That’s why I was there. He took credit at the CIA for my ideas. The good news is I outranked him by a wide margin and took political revenge. He ended up at NASA; now THAT’S embarrassing.
