Time Magazine warned of a growing threat to cops nationwide in September 2010. The nationally renowned publication argued that sinister individuals would launch targeted attacks against police officers and even ambush them in their patrol cars.
Time alerted readers that these groups and individuals have a disturbing hatred of cops and that there was a real threat of “lone-wolf” attacks.
Who are these groups that present such a threat to police? Right-wing militias, according to Time.

A six-month TIME investigation reveals that recruiting, planning, training and explicit calls for a shooting war are on the rise, as are criminal investigations by the FBI and state authorities. Readier for bloodshed than at any time since at least the confrontations in the 1990s in Ruby Ridge, Idaho, and Waco, Texas, the radical right has raised the threat level against the President and other government targets,” the article says.
It even claimed that militia violence, whatever that constituted, was on the rise, and more bloodshed should be expected.

Spring of 2009 was when the Hutaree militia were raided.
By 2012 all had been acquitted because a Clinton appointed black female judge found that the feds had created a fantasy case that the Hutaree planned to attack police.
It all revolved around a “what if” bull session in the woods that was inspired by the undercover informant (who was the only one of the group that had any kind of criminal record)

I would take a guess that Time relies upon libraries, doctor’s offices, and intellectural-types to carry seventy-percent of the subscribers. Over the past ten years, I’ve bought one issue...just for reading material for a flight. It’s format just doesn’t work anymore, and you can predict the outcome of every single article. In six to ten years....I just don’t see them surviving unless they move out to Kansas, downsize the magazine, and go mostly digital.

I did a google search and Wikipedia presents the facts as you state them. There was also a CBS report I looked at, 24 pages related to the indictment with pictures.

When I was looking for something to subscribe to to be informed I read a copy of this they used a lot of big words and long sentences. I was used to William f Buckley and I was educated so it wasn’t the big words and long sentences that were the problem.
It was that they were using big words and big sentences just to make readers think there was intellectual activity going on

yeah.....Mark Pitcavage and the Southern Policy Law Center (and similar). Pitcavage waged a continuing anti-militia rant in newgroups for years, and then was hired by the Justice Department (Janet Reno/Clinton regime)as a "consultant" on militia groups. The SPLC started as an anti-KKK group, then morphed into an anti-militia/right-wing hate group nuthouse.
