Subway Manspreaders Told: Close Your Legs And Let Other People Ride Poster campaign will attempt to stop antisocial practice Doctors say crossing legs will not affect reproductive powers.

As 2014 comes to an end, one thing New York commuters can expect in 2015 is an official city campaign against a growing problem: manspreading.
Manspreading is the act or practice typically male of spreading ones legs in a manner which prevents others from occupying nearby seats on the subway, commuter train or bus.
A Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) spokesman, Kevin Ortiz, described the practice thus: To, you know, extend their legs more than they need to in a manner that would take up more than one seat.
In January, the MTA will unveil ads calling for better subway manners. According to the New York Times, one such poster will bear the message: Dude Stop the Spread, Please.
Social media sites have magnified criticism of manspreading, as people have posted images on sites like Twitter and Tumblr in an effort to shame culprits and compel them to keep their legs together.
The epidemic has spread Boston transit police have posted photos of people taking up more than one seat on Twitter with messages such as: #MBTA etiquette; if you are already seated PLEASE do not occupy seat next to you with your feet. Thanks.

the youngsters these days have the entitlement mentality and would not even consider it.
pity, it would go a long way to solving a few of our problems in society.
Well, I certainly know that the taking up space and daring you to say anything about it phenomenon is a black thing. I can't count how many times I've witnessed black "youths" just trudge along slowly right in the middle of the street, knowing full well that they are in everyone's way. It's a power thing.
Didn't surprise me at all when "the gentle giant" and his gentle friend were reported to be doing the same thing.
I always assume that a female human is a lady until proven otherwise.
amazing how things like that happen, isn’t.
all it takes is one person to set the example and all who witness it, will remember it even if they don’t act in the same fashion immediately afterwards.
do such things often enough and they begin to become a pattern of behavior.
I firmly believe that.
But liberals would not dare invest so much effort to do so, they are too lazy.
And it is sad that the little feminist twit worked so hard to cherry pick her photography on this to only show males all spread out...only to have us make fun of her stupid campaign.
However— if yo a black girl— baby got back— and can mooove baby!

Groan!
I don’t want any stranger that close to me.
Everybody, including her, stared in amazement.
It’s a matter of common courtesy to most of us, but a lot of the “manspreaders” are doing it very intentionally and just daring somebody to try to sit down next to them. It’s kind of dominance behavior with a lot of them.
Anything but talk about the racist war against the NYPD and other law enforcement, grand juries, and of course, white people.
You've come a long way, baby. Stand.
Back when I used to take the Washington metro the worst offenders were mostly white, men and women in suits who would put their briefcases or purses on the seat next to them. Probably government workers and like you said, it’s an entitlement mentality.
I look at it this way. Wonan are taught to keep their legs close. Men naturally stand different. No guy should stand with their legs two feet apart, because that would be inconsiderate, but my guess is that none are. This is just another way to make men conform to some woman’s vision of feminist utopia.

That would take up more room.
Sitting normally (12” space between knees) on the subway does not take up additional seating space.
I’m short, so getting the carryon into the luggage compartment is a challenge. Strangely enough, the men who have offered to help me with luggage have generally been black men or foreign-born Latin men (judging by their accents). Taller young women also offer to help.
But I have seen hopeful signs...the last couple of times, a young white man has actually come forward to help. So maybe things are improving!
Wow, you can practically see the hepatitis and crabs eminating from that...thing.
I still would, but I don’t ride trains or buses anymore.
I also continue to open doors for ladies.....knowing full well that it pi$$es off some of them. ;>)
How about a counter protest of feminazi stupidity.
