Tea party hero Allen West is making his final Florida appearance before moving to Texas.
The one-term congressman is appearing at a holiday party for his self-named foundation Saturday in Palm Beach Gardens.
He announced last month he will become CEO of the Dallas-based National Center for Policy Analysis in January.

I would not put the Colonel and Scott Brown in the same company. West supported Conservatism, Brown ran from it.

Scott Brown is not a conservative. He proved that with his vote for 0bamacare. He’s also not a Democrat. He says that openly. He cannot be all things to all people. Nobody has any use for a liberal Republican.
I don’t know. Besides the local home-grown Conservatives, there’s not much available for him to run for (the Senate, for example, the squish Cornyn was just reelected, so he’s not up until 2020. If Cruz runs and wins the Presidency, Gov. Abbott would likely appoint someone holding high state or Congressional office, so that also rules out West).
I was personally hoping that West ran in FL in 2016 against the backstabbing RINO Sen. Rubio, who went native in DC before he was in office a whole year.

He will be missed here in Florida, but you can bet he will be involved in some way on the national political scene, I expect he will be working hard for Cruz in his yet to be announce bid for POTUS 2016, maybe even be selected as VP, which would be an excellent choice.

Col. West said he would be back in 2016 - didn’t elaborate, but hopefully, he has plans. Florida did him dirty, so, good on him for making the move to Texas.
