President Barack Obama says he will try to undertake an overhaul of the tax system with the new Republican majorities in Congress. He says the devil is in the details.
He says the tax system needs to be simpler and fairer. He says some corporations engage in tax avoidance while others pay full freight. He also says he would like to combine tax changes with money for capital works projects.

What nonsense. The feckless fool on the hill is “hard wired to the the wrong thing everytime."(Powerline) If the new congress has any wisdom, any testicles at all, they will refuse to “work” with anything the fool proposes.

If the GOP and Obama agree to a deal and pass something. That will take out some of the air of the 2016 candidates, like Mr. Perry’s tax plan or similar ideas in theory.

So true.
Except the GOP will raise taxes on the rest of us, while cutting taxes

Yep we are pretty much screwed then. The Republicans will reach across the aisle, join the Dems, and give Obama what he wants. They’ve already proved that.

The good news is that in the spirit of bipartisanship, they’’ll increase spending by 40%.

Why waste time? Just issue an executive order, or pass some memo around.
