New message from Hackers to Sony: We'll stand down if you never release the movie
CNN Money ^ | 12/19/2014 | Brian Stelter

The hackers behind a devastating cyberattack at Sony Pictures have sent a new message to executives at the company, crediting them for a "very wise" decision to cancel the Christmas day release of "The Interview," a source close to the company told CNN.

The email message was received by Sony's top executives on Thursday night and was obtained by CNN.

The source said that the company believes the email was from the hackers because it followed a pattern of previous messages, sent to a list of particular executives and formatted in a particular way.

A Sony spokesman declined to comment.

From HOTAIR:

http://hotair.com/archives/2014/12/19/hackers-send-sony-a-new-message-cyber-attacks-will-end-unless-you-make-additional-trouble/

The hacker message is effectively a victory lap, telling the studio, “Now we want you never let the movie released, distributed or leaked in any form of, for instance, DVD or piracy.”

The message also says, “And we want everything related to the movie, including its trailers, as well as its full version down from any website hosting them immediately.”

It warns the studio executives that “we still have your private and sensitive data” and claims that they will “ensure the security of your data unless you make additional trouble.”

The email was titled “Message from GOP.” The anonymous hackers have called themselves “Guardians of Peace.”

It is a stupid movie anyway. Sony should just cut their loses and burn the movie. Who cares who wins. Let’s not start WW3 over a movie.

good, so now when Hollywood makes its next anti Christian movie, they can be threatened not to release it.
of course, that would mean almost no movies get released.

It is a movie, not a country. To compare you would have to think North Korea is now going to demand more Hollywood movies. Ha1. Let them. That would be super hilarious to me. It couldn't happen to a more deserving crowd.

White flags should be raised at all Sony buildings.

Our government should approach this as an attack against our nation, and respond accordingly. Do WE not have any “Hackers” to retaliate?

Perhaps instead of using so much time and resources to listen and spy on us American civilians, the NSA should be utilizing it to go after people and entities that are doing things like this! They need to refocus, and NOW. This was an attack against a media/electronics company. Just imagine the potential harm if such an attack were done against our national infrastructure, ect. This should be keeping some people awake at night. We got off easy this time, and this SHOULD be a wake up call!

The message also says, "And we want everything related to the movie, including its trailers, as well as its full version down from any website hosting them immediately."

So now their threats are going beyond Sony. What's next, they demand Team America be wiped from the interwebs?

"good, so now when Hollywood makes its next anti Christian movie, they can be threatened not to release it. of course, that would mean almost no movies get released."

And next it will be books (novels, histories, biographies, etc) that the N. Koreans may disapprove of. Stop publication of the "offensive" material or we'll expose your emails blah blah. Maybe news broadcasts will have to meet the approval of the North Koreans in the future. How about the N. Korean "Dear Leader" demanding the execution of someone in America who criticizes him and his miserable country too accurately. At what point will America not cave in?

Most of the movie industry is a corrupt sick behind the scenes organization and I don't feel sorry for Sony. But still North Korea should be hit hard, so damn hard the little puke would suffer a mental breakdown.

Somebody smarter than me please answer this: Why, in this day and time, are companies putting everything they own on servers that are on the Internet? Why the heck don’t they have intranets sealed off from the rest of the world?

WW3 is already here, just the nuking hasn't started yet. Remember 9/11?
