ISIS Terrorists Run for Their Lives When They Meet Real Soldiers for 1st Time – U.S. Special Forces

American troops just had their first real battle with Islamic State militants, after the terror group attempted to overrun Ein al-Asad base in Iraq in the middle of the night Sunday, the Kurdish news outlet Shafaq News reports. The U.S. troops absolutely decimated the militants, forcing a quick retreat. The counterattack was conducted in a joint operation with local tribal forces.

The attack occurred at Ein al-Asad base, which currently hosts nearly 100 U.S. military “advisers.” The U.S. troops engaged the militants in tandem with F-18 fighter jets, who provided air support. The battle lasted approximately two hours after an undisclosed number of militants were killed.

To be fair there is much 'outrage' in Iran against the government. But the Iranian culture is vastly different to Saudis in comparison.

IF the Iranians, for example, had the support and means to get rid of their mullahs regime, I'd bet they would - most would. It's not a popular regime in Iran at all, there is much bad-blood - I can confidently say most Iranians in and out of Iran despise it.

But, those in Iran have learned to lived with it, AND, the regime has, over the last decades, adapted & adjusted itself to appease the population.

The Saudis are COMPLETELY different. Many average Saudis are in fact more supportive of their Islamic regime & actually BELIEVE in Islam (unlike many Iranians, who are self-serving and 'pretend-to-be' muslims). It's a totally different culture and history to Iran. Hard to explain..

Yes, I do not disagree, but it is not the same kind of outrage that Muslims might ordinarily show when the oppression/treatment/outrage is a Jihadi type one against, say, Infidels in the rest of the world.

I really wasn’t talking about internal strife and disagreement within Muslim countries about government, religion or control.

Arabs are worthless when it comes to combat and soldiering...they are the most incompetent and lazy culture I’ve ever come across...and any vet from OIF or OEF that was in a training role will agree with me 100%...

I can easily say most Iranians are Not the Jihadi types at all. They're smarter than that, in fact. The concept of 'infidels' is almost foreign to many Iranians. Though the concept of 'foreigners' in a national sense is strong.

Most Iranians are more politically inclined or motivated than religiously motivated. Many Iranians, although the mullahs regime like to pump it in, do Not, for example, see Westerners as 'Christian or Jewish infidels'.

If they disagree or support the current regime (against 'outsiders') it'd be mostly because they feel Iran's sovereignty might be threatened. It is Not a religious (muslim) motivation. It's much more nationalistic or patriotic.

The best way to advise someone is by a live demonstration. Therefore, the advisors gave a clinic on how to wipe out a gang of terrorists. Education at its finest. The students AND the terrorists both were taught a lesson.

Who made the counter attack?

This was the main reason we had problems in Iraq after the initial invasion. Military units dropped their weapons, changed into civilian clothing and fled into the countryside. Once we were on the ground, they began putting together attacks with their comrades, under the guidance of the generals and Saddam who had survived.

The better part of valor and all that, you know.

Barack Obama said U.S. Troops were only going back in advisory role

Does NO ONE remember that they said the same thing about our early troops in Vietnam? That they were just advisers?

Advisors is a well known euphemism for the Green Berets.

The advice is not given at the HQ level, but up close and personal, training indigenous forces. In this case the Kurds.

i agree with every thing you say, but can our country actually go to another country and fight this islamic invasion? in an already islamic country. I think islam, mohammedanism, is the problem and unless it is choked off at the source, where the money is, dubai and saudi we can never get it under control. the dubai and saudi money needs to dry up for this crap to stop. i think we need to act strategically. US de-funding helped stop the IRA in ireland.

I said, it was part of the Ottoman Empire.

And WWI was engineered war by the financial elites of the world to break up the Austro-Hungarian, Russian and Ottoman Empires.

And institute a World Governance organization that all the major powers after the war would be part of.

OTOH, they seem quite competent at shooting Americans with whom they are supposed to be working, female hostages, school children, and any Christians in the neighborhood.

Had he and Hillary signed the ready to be signed Status of Forces agreement this wouldn’t have happened. It’s a direct result of a Hillary Clinton/Baraq Obama foreign policy decision. ISIS exists because of them.

I’m sure he’ll find out about it (troops on the ground), just as soon as a major news source televises it.

RE ISIS getting ass-whupped:

It’s a little different when people start shooting back, ain’t it... ...Especially when the people doing the shooting back know what they’re doing and are REALLY good at it.

Look up the famous 1999 paper, ‘Why Arabs Lose Wars’. It’s a bit dated now (it assumes fighting a Saddam or Qadhaffi style dictatorship, not an Islamic one) but is still the best hard-headed analysis on the subject from a US military viewpoint.
