Obama: Go to the movies
The Hill ^ | December 17, 2014 | Justin Sink

President Obama on Wednesday said he did not believe Americans needed to be concerned by threats issued to movie theaters, even as Sony Pictures made the decision to pull its controversial comedy “The Interview” amid threats of terrorism.

“For now, my recommendation would be: Go to the movies,” Obama said Wednesday in an interview with ABC News.

The president said his administration was taking very seriously the cyber attack against the movie studio, which unleashed a trove of internal emails and documents, and pledged a thorough federal investigation into the breach. On Wednesday, multiple media outlets citing U.S. intelligence officials reported that North Korea had played a central role in the attack.

Pyongyang appeared to launch the attack in retaliation for the James Franco and Seth Rogen-led comedy, which is based on a fictitious plot to assassinate North Korean ruler Kim Jong-un.

A message purportedly from the hackers threatening a Sept. 11-style attack on those who planned to see the movie caused theater chains across the nation to cancel their screenings. Later Wednesday, Sony announced it was canceling its Christmas Day release of the movie.

If you like your movie, you can keep your movie.

If you like your seat, you can keep your seat.

If you like your head, you can keep your head.

If you like your Hollyweird, you can keep your Hollyweird.

I even get mad at classic movies that contain leftist propaganda, these days. And I’m not talking stuff like “Mission to Moscow” either.

If they pull “The Interview”, the terrorists have already won.

Newt Gingrich suggests that Sony put the movie on line that can be watched for free anywhere in the world, and to put Korean subtitles in it. I think this is a good idea. Is there a downside?

Only if Fagbammy says we have to watch it.

Why waste time, let alone hard earned money, on the Hollywood propaganda machine.

Not much to see at the movies. Any movie will be on ON Demand in a few months anyway. At home is a much cheaper way to see a movie these days.

Terrorism's biggest enabler is Obama.

Yah, agree. Also, a couple of other considerations; I’m guessing Sonys legal people have advised their executives that even though the probability of an attack is unlikely, the liability risk is huge should such an event occur. Also, by delaying the movie release Sony will be ginning up huge interest, taking what originally was probably a low revenue B movie into a high revenue B movie - brilliant say I :)

.

How about the silly youtube video maker with Benghazi?

A Video practically no one had seen.

Another case of Obama not having to answer for his wild inconsistency.

Obama probably wants people to go to the movies because now he has the perfect chance to send some kook in to a theater and shoot the place up. He can blame North Korea while restarting his war on gun owners.

Sorry folks, this guy has proved he is capable of doing just about anything to get to whatever goal he has in mind.

I suggested that to my friends at work yesterday. Put it on Netflix, gratis. Are they going to attack all of our homes? F the Norks. It looks like silly, stupid nonsense, but I was kinda looking forward to checking out The Interview.

Actually, what I saw in the trailer for this movie, my guess is that’s about all the funny this movie has to offer.

If you judge this movie with Seth and James by their last cooperative venture about the rapture, etc. in Hollywood, you’d probably be on the right track.

I think all these guys (Canadian comedians) get together with the prolific Mr. Franco and smoke a hell of a lot of dope and then have somebody take notes, and then make a movie. Easy Peasy....

I might watch it on Netflix if it ever got there, but I sure wouldn’t buy a DVD or payperview much less actually go to a theater for it.

Only if you're a Nork, then you'll be executed.

Why don’t you and the double wide go to the movies. Maybe you two could work behind the counter and hand out popcorn.

You two could get some more talking points about nigras being put down by whitey and always expected to either hand out popcorn or take tickets.

Just stay away from the M&M greens. You and the wookie may wind up in the cheap seats ruining the movie acting like the ghetto trash yawl are.

Get out of OUR House you trash.
