shingles are painful..
Only happens in a few cases. More common is deafness which happens in up to 10% of adult males who get mumps.
Bitter? No. I’m a typical hockey fan who doesn’t think very much of Cindy Crosby or the cheap shot artist Pens.
Get the shot as soon as you can.
They say you don't need it until you are over 60. HA!
They lie about other things too.
I honestly was not aware of a vaccination. I was under the impression if ya had chicken pox as a kid, shingles was something to just deal with.

As for cheap shots, they are nothing like the Philly Flyers.

My mom just went through a bout. She had to be on some serious pain meds to deal with it and this is the lady who has been know to tell the dentist that she didn't want the Novocain, just drill.
Something I did not know is that shingles is contagious. So if your spouse gets it they will likely pass it on to you whether you had chicken pox or not.
I don’t want Cindy Crosby to play for the Wings. Quite frankly, not only is Crosby a whiner but he and the pens have done as much in the playoffs as the Wings have over the last few years. Which is to say, not much. Crosby is overrated.
The Pens are worse than the Flyers. The Flyers are quite up front about their cheap artistry. The Pens on the other hand engage in cheap shots and then whine about being a victim. They would make great Democrats.
I don’t want him, and I hope Garth Snow doesn’t want him, either. He’s a crybaby.

I listened to the team physician's statement. Sid was on meds for swelling in mid November. I'll bet they were giving him steroids for it. Steroids work by depressing the immune system. (This would render immunity from vaccinations moot) They then sent this immune compromised person into a population of people with an ongoing mumps epidemic. He got the mumps.
Oh, well the new team physicians may be better than the last collection of quacks the Pens employed. However he got it, Get well soon Sid!
