BREAKING: Jeb Bush is formally exploring 2016 White House bid

Jeb Bush is exploring a 2016 presidential bid.

The former Florida governor said in a post on Facebook Tuesday that over the Thanksgiving holiday there was a lot of discussion about the future of the nation.

“As a result of these conversations and thoughtful consideration of the kind of strong leadership I think America needs, I have decided to actively explore the possibility of running for President of the United States,” Mr. Bush said.

Mr. Bush said he plans to establish a Leader PAC next month to “help me facilitate conversations with citizens across America to discuss the most critical challenges facing our exceptional nation.”

“The PAC’s purpose will be to support leaders, ideas and policies that will expand opportunity and prosperity for all Americans,” he said.

I am a Ted Cruz supporter. I think, though, that Jeb Bush would not lose the social conservatives as did Romney in 2008. He would lose a new and different branch of conservatism...not defense, not fiscal, not social. I think of them as the ‘immigration security conservatives’. They are fed up with illegals taking jobs, taking welfare, lowering wages, and utilizing free health and food programs. They believe this open border nonsense is insecure: it gives opportunity for enemies, disease, and freeloaders to injure our great nation.

How large is this group? It gave the GOP their victory this fall. It includes social, defense, and fiscal conservatives — it takes people from each — so it is probably larger than any one of those groups.

Jeb Bush will announce against open borders, amnesty, and illegals or he will lose in the general election: same as Dole, McCain, and Romney. He will not do that, so we are pretty much going to lose if immigration security conservatives don’t settle on just one candidate by the beginning of the primaries in 2015.

Underestimating the wealth, reach, and ability of the Bush Machine is irrational. They are very good.

Let him run. It will stop him from sniping from the sidelines and it will give us all the satisfaction of seeing him get his ass kicked in the primaries.

Well Mr. Jeb Bush, here's my conversation; "You can kiss my butt while on your way to becoming President...of Mexico!"

” OK then here comes president Hillary. I
will crawl over broken glass to vote as
many times as I can for the Republican
candidate for president. I listened to all of
you whine about McClain and Romney
and we’ve had 8 years of Obama. I blame
you and your ilk.”

I’ve largely shared this view, and lately questioned it. The GOP has learned. they can now fost on us ‘their’
in man as it is just his turn. They have no interest in good candidates, just party candidates.

In no way, shape, or form should Jeb become president. The Bushes, Clintons, and Kennedy have had far too much influence. The white House should not be theirs to pass back and forth. Even Jeb’s mother knows this is bad for the country.

Bush, Bush, Dole, Bush, Bush, McCain, Romney, Bush.

We'll have to get Neil Bush to run in 2020 followed by 3 non-Bush RINOs in 2024, 2028 and 2032 to keep the pattern going.

The evil GOPe is expecting millions of easily duped Conservatives to do just as you stated.

The evil GOPe has utter contempt for people like you -- they know they will get your vote, and once they do they will turn on you with glee.

Jeb Bush like Hillary has the singular goal of growing the Power of the State over the individual.

2012 was the very last time I will ever cast a vote for an evil RINO.

Is this guy smoking crack or something? Does he not see how the country is completely and utterly fed up with leftist politics? That there is not a chance in hell anyone even remotely siding with the right is going to vote for him?

Let's see, so far we have a washed up B class reality TV star, the brother and son of two liberal presidents, and a conservative we all love but is ineligible.

This isn't shaping up well.

I was cursed here on FR on election day, and I’d still do it again.

You did the right thing. 2012 was the very last time I will ever cast a vote for an evil RINO.

I see that I was part of the problem -- the evil GOPe knew they could depend one fools like me voting for the lesser of two evils.

When the evil GOPe realizes that they will never get the vote of 10s of millions of Conservatives they will be pushed aside.

That’s the choice the Craps and the RINO-Es are going to give us aren’t they. That’s exactly what they are aiming for which is why I’ve been saying for the past 3 years we either need a new party or we should put all of our energy, support and money behind an independent because there is not a chance in hell I am voting for either of those two treasonous pieces of scum filth.

Welcome! Jeb Bush and his entire family are a class act and not deserving of the derision they get here.

Is that you, Karl Rove?

The entire Bush family are all rabid Statists.

The entire Bush family has utter contempt for the United States Constitution.

The entire Bush family wants to erase our borders.

P.S. Do you know that Jeb Bush is a rabid supporter of the evil, Communist inspired Common Core.

I will NEVER cast a vote for another Bush.

Well if voting for Hillary is like getting two presidents in one, then a vote for Jeb is like getting three presidents!

Top that Hillary :)

but the nastiness here is a mistake.

You truly don't understand the nastiness? Are you young and naive?

We are truly at the point where we are about to lose our Republic as Founded. This is as serious as it gets.

The nastiness you witness is the civil response by rational people over witnessing so called leaders do absolutely nothing to save our Republic.

Our Founders would have already have taken action, ala the end of Nicolae Ceaușescu...
