Shibumi nailed it in post #2. All you lurkers might as well just read that comment and consider the thread topic settled.

Obama sounded pretty conservative in early 2008.

By now, everyone in this nation should know better than to take anything the 'Rats say at face value.

Just understand that Democrats are perpetrating a falsehood, no matter what.

Corporate welfare giveaways is crony capitalism squared.

If Congress wonders why its held in such low regard by the American people that’s why.

Billions in taxpayer handouts to people who are not exactly struggling is obscene.

The proverbial cherry on top of this sick sundae is full funding for amnesty and Obamacare.

Which the American people rejected in November.

Rand Paul On Shutdown: "Even Though It Appeared I Was Participating In It, It Was A Dumb Idea"
I said throughout the whole battle that shutting down the government was a dumb idea. Even though it did appear as if I was participating in it, I said it was a dumb idea. And the reason I voted for it, though, is that it's a conundrum. Here's the conundrum. We have a $17 trillion debt and people at home tell me you can't give the president a blank check. We just can't keep raising the debt ceiling without conditions. So unconditionally raising the debt ceiling, nobody at home wants me to vote for that and I can't vote for that. But the conundrum is if I don't we do approach these deadlines. So there is an impasse. In 2011, though, we had this impasse and the president did negotiate. We got the sequester. If we were to extend the sequester from discretionary spending to all the entitlements we would actually fix our problem within a few years.

Rand Paul: Time for GOP to soften war stance
...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said.

Rand Paul's immigration speech
...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.

Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.

Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...

This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.

Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.

Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reform
Latinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers...

Rand Slams Congress for Funding Egypt's Generals: 'How Does Your Conscience Feel Now?'
Sen. Rand Paul is hammering his fellow senators for keeping billions in financial aid flowing to Egypt's military -- even as Cairo's security forces massacre anti-government activists. [by "anti-government activists" is meant church-burning Christian-murdering jihadists]

I cannot stand Paul Ryan.

He was a clueless grab for Mitt. And as Laura wrote, paulie ryan got his azz handed to him in the debate vs Joe Biden. Yep, Joe Biden made him look silly.

He should have been sent packing after crazy Joe Biden stomped his azz.

Looks like the leftist want Warren to be the nominee. It starts all over again with the Leon Trotsky tactis but, this time instead of you’re all “racist,” it’ll be your all sexist.

Paul Ryan, originally a Jack French Kemp henchman, learned the Mittens lesson better than Mittens. It must be his wife’s OK Democrat family that guides Ryan.

I sat there waiting for Ryan to go on the offense, but he was deterential to Biden on nearly every point. Very poor performance in retrospect

Cruz can out-debate HRC all he likes, but the American people will still say HRC “won” the debate. They believe in her and “bill”.

Biden has a huge advantage in a debate. He shamelessly makes up facts and statistics as he goes. Debating Palin the media failed to call him on any of his gaffs, phony stats, or lies.

The difference in intelligence between “what difference does it make” Whitewater Queen and the honors graduate from Harvard will be impossible to ignore even for the low information voters.

Hilda was the original instigator of socialized healthcare in 1993 known as Hillarycare. Obamacare experience is not going to help Hilda.

Obama won 2nd term for THREE reasons.

(1) Lies about Al Qaeda is dead, Benghazi was due to a video, etc were ignored by the MSM.

(2) 4 million republicans cut their ears off to spite their noses (per Limbaugh who knows more than most).

(3) Santorum and Gingrich dueled each other to the bitter clearing the path for the lone RINO from Massachusetts.

EXEMPT Ryan backed/backs RomneyCARE/ObamaCARE.
Like Boehner, he is behold to Obola for making
HIS family, and HIS staff (whomever he deems for gifts)
also EXEMPT. There are two (2) tiers of Laws and taxes,
and the EXEMPT can dole it out to their mistresses
and servants and those who pay them off.

Try 4 million republican voters turn into a lot more next time around if they run Romney or anyone who looks like Romney because those of us who voted for Romney know he’d be doing this. A la his running mate who tried taking away vets’ and vets widows’ promised funding

And try Romney ran everyone off the debating stage with enormous funding only to fold in the second and third debates with Bo whom he rolled out a red carpet for treating him an infinity better than his running republican mates

Any one can try to bully this but there is no way not a chance on this green earth that those conservatives who didn’t vote for Romney will change their minds and that their numbers won’t grow

I voted for Romney and there is no chance I’ll vote for a GOP e candidate. Not a slim chance

Did you even bother to read my post?

Romney never crossed 30% until later in the primaries.

Only reason GOPe keeps winning nominations is because
they field ONE SINGLE CANDIDATE...Dole, then McCain then Romney.

If conservatives had any unity and selfless behavior, they should field ONLY ONE CANDIDATE.

There is no way Newt & Ricky were EACH going to get more votes than a single RINO. Wake up and read the statistics. There are not enough conservative voters in the country to anoint 2 or more conservatives over a SINGLE RINO.

End of conversation.
