The difference between a documented and undocumented gang member is:
If you are documented when the smash ins are taking place the documented guy gets nibbsy’s over the undoc.
The plusher ‘hit’ jobs ie specified target, good payoff or for the doc guy.
The undoc guy is relegated to drive buys, spraying parking lots/playgrounds and more often than not he has to buy his own ammo WHICH, BTW - is sold by the doc guys.
After so many hits etal the undoc guy can take a test and meet standards to become a doc guy.
