Review: 'Exodus' Is God-Awful
http://www.forbes.com ^ | December 5, 2014 | Scott Mendelson

Exodus: Gods and Kings comes to us courtesy of 20th Century Fox, which is distributing Ridley Scott’s $140 million would-be epic. The producers this time around are Chernin Entertainment, Scott Free Productions, Babieka, and Volcano Films. The film opens wide in America on December 12th, 2014, and it has already opened in some overseas markets as of December 3rd. Over the next few months, it will of course attempt to play a two-sided game. On on hand, the film will be targeting the overtly religious moviegoers that have made quite a bit of noise this year. On the other hand, 20th Century Fox wants the general moviegoers worldwide who just want a major spectacle-filled blockbuster regardless of the film’s would-be religious dogma.

Working in the film’s favor is the relatively well-known (if not “all-star” in a box office sense) cast, featuring the likes of Christian Bale, Joel Edgerton, Aaron Paul, Sigourney Weaver, Ben Kingsley, and John Turturro in roles of various sizes. Also of note is director Ridley Scott, who allows Fox to put things like “from the director of Gladiator” on the marketing materials. 20th Century Fox is one of the best studios in terms of overseas box office, so I can’t imagine anything less than a worldwide hit regardless of the film’s quality or racially-correct casting.

Will this film assault my religious sensibilities like Moses did. Will I want to walk out and will my mouth hang open in shock like with Russell Crowe’s atrocity film, Moses. Or will I be able to sit thru it and say, they’re on the right track. Will it be as good as Son of God by producers Roma Downey and her husband.

Not true - I immediately recognized the artistry of Battlefield Earth when it came out.

I’ll wait to see what my religious friends have to say and I’ll really listen this time, which is what I should have done before seeing Russell Crowe’s godawful mess, Moses. Chasing after his daughter in law and her two infant daughters to stab and kill them because the Creator told him humanity didn’t deserve to live, only the animals deserved to live....

The original Exodus movie came out in 1960 and starred Paul Newman. It was a fantastic movie. I hate to think of what today’s Hollywierd idiots did to it.

Oh I know Mr. American Carol fan. Do you still have that fan group? Or has all your supporters left after realizing how dumb the movie was. Funniest part was your charged 10 bucks to join.

Oh I forgot about that movie and yes I saw it at the theater. Sadly that is about the last conservative movie that was good and that was well over a decade ago.

The article says that an eleven year old boy was cast to represent God.
Instead of a voice from the sky, the boy “plays God as a pissed-off, impatient, and petulant child.”
And the author liked it.

I'm not surprised.

Sarah Palin's great movie attracted large crowds of Patriots here in Texas. A few years later, both enjoyed and were educated by 2016: Obama's America by Dinesh D'Souza.

“.sorry but on movies, most of you do not have any credibility.”

Your not sorry at all. Your baiting people to get attention.

Leave it to a cook to be a expert movie critic with credibility....

So far rottentomatoes.com is giving it 43%. By the way don’t bother watching The Hunger Games part three, it sucks!
