make sure we're looking at the log in our eye before we are pointing out the [mote] in other folks eyes,"

Okay Mr President. You're 100% correct here. Hmm. Let's see. I'm here legally, as the child of two American parents, and the grandchild of 3 German legal immigrants in the early 20th Century, as ell as a Cherokee as my 4th grandparent.
That guy right there, and his family, came here illegally.

No log in my eye, big old mote (the size of a log) in his eye.

Or are you trying to compare our ancestors coming here centuries ago, who violated no laws (the natives had no written language, and no sense of private land ownership, thus no immigration laws), to those who came here recently and expressly violated extensive and public written laws?

The Indians did have many territorial wars and battles, but if you want to go there as your basis for national boundaries that are not to be violated, then you must also accept their premise that warfare is the primary way to change those boundaries, and thus our movement west upon our arrival was fully within their understood and practiced method of migration and expansion. Pick your approach, in every case, there is no log, nor even a mote, for modern American citizens for our presence here, but there IS a huge log in the eyes of every illegal immigrant. Their children have a claim for sympathy, but unless and until we no longer incarcerate bank robbers etc whose children will be parentless during their punishment (and I pray we don't go there), then it makes no sense to allow the children of non-citizens to profit, and get their parents out of trouble, for their crimes and violations.

1. “let he who is without sin among you, cast the first stone.” John 8:7, KJV
2. “don’t throw stones at glass houses.” Unknown chapter, KOV.

Think the KOV will be a big hit?

And I don’t think he’d have much trouble with throwing stones at other people’s glass houses...

HA! What an idiot. A dangerous one, but an idiot nonetheless depending on bigger idiots for cover/support.

And if Rodriguez and Garcia were coming to their ancestral home to be counted in a census, and then go back home, nobody would have a problem with it.

Here's a scripture he could quote.. John 10:1 tells us “Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber.” If they are truly Christians, they should go home voluntarily, go to the back of the line and apply to enter legally, not as sneak in and try to remain here as thieves and robbers.

These people are using Christianity to hide their crime of entering our country illegally. For starters, they have broken one of the Ten Commandments, “Thou Shalt Not Steal.” They have stolen into our country, and are no doubt stealing as many taxpayer provider services as they can get their hands on: (Education, food stamps, housing, medical care, etc.)

You cannot call yourself a Christian, and then use that as an excuse to go around breaking our laws. Sorry, they’re just common criminals. Throw them out.

Confucius Proverb: He who lives in glass house shouldn't throw stones.

I think the reference to "strangers" in a land, refers to the Jews in the Middle East. Evidence of their rights to the lands are buried behind locked and guarded doors in the basements of places like the Vatican and Cairo Museum. The Jewish people of that region of the middle east have been driven out, taken out, and/or displaced one way or another throughout recorded history. I think 0 was trying to make a point. Targeting those Christians who celebrate Christmas here who are calling this illegal invasion and criminal amnesty a moral and national travesty, they are being hypocritical. That's my take on what 0 was saying.

Sad thing is, what "good book" is he actually referring to? He lumped it altogether. He smirked in our faces. He mocked Judeo-Christianity in USA, IMO.

This man is dumb like a fox. He has pretty much accomplished what he set out to when he & his irk were chanting CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN.

“there was a Rodriguez and Garcia living in what is now a good portion of the United States long before a Smith or Wilson showed up...”

By approximately 100 years and they were Europeans also, unless you are thinking the Navajo and other natives had names like Rodriguez and Garcia.

“The good book says don’t throw stones at glass houses, or make sure we’re looking at the log in our eye before we are pointing out the moat in other folks eyes,”

This mote thing is often used to shutdown any Christian reaching any moral conclusion when, IIRC Jesus was speaking of ACTUAL sin He as God knew to be chargable to the person to whom He was speaking. The quote is thrown out reflexively whenever someone wants to shut down a Christian moral argument by implying a lack of PERFEECTION necessary to MAKE an argument.

The good book says don't throw stones at glass houses

Wow. That's almost as badly mangled as what Dan Quayle did to "A Mind is a terrible thing to waste."

Interestingly, I found a site page (Idiom of the Week) that links that proverb with Gospel According to St. John, Chapter 7, about the woman to be stoned for adultery. The pages states that it was last updated ion February 2013, so there is a tenuous connection, and I'd give him a pass on it, except that:

1. Leaving out the "People who live in" part takes all the sense out of the exhortation.

2. The words as written were never uttered to the rioters in Ferguson, who actually WERE throwing stones (and other stuff) at glass buildings.

3. Failing to acknowledge that HE's the one with the beam, while the conservatives have (comapratively) the mote.

Why is he in Nashville? Is he still campaigning? He flew Air Force one and his entourage down to Nashville to give a speech about something he already did, its done and the citizens nor the congress can do anything about it, what is his point?

A real problem with the African-American community is that they talk rather than read. That is how you end up with the Calypso Louis Farrakhans and the Jerimiah Wrights.

Eons ago (back in the early 1970s) there were African-American mutinies on military bases. The big br-ASS in the Puzzle Palace decided to educate all the non-black people both military and civilian on how better to understand other not like them.

I was sent off to five days worth of what was torture. I had to listen to some woman claim that Jesus was black and that the Bible described his African-American features. I questioned where in the Bible and I got harrumphed and told to read the Bible.

At lunch I went back to my room in the BOQ, ate lunch, picked up my Bible, and drive back to the “education center”. I asked the black woman to show me where in the Bible the description of Jesus as an African-American was. She threw a hissy fit full of racial epithets such as calling me a ‘cracka’ and other things. About twenty minutes later the Wing Commander called me out of the class and told me that (quoting H. Rap Brown) “If you aren’t part of the solution, you are part of the problem.” I quote Saint Thomas Aquinas: ““As a matter of honor, one man owes it to another to manifest the truth.” But the colonel was too dense. He was only interested in making certain everyone took the class and the truth had no place in dealing with problems.

Obama is one of those morons who listed to the Calypso Louises, the Jeremiah Wrights, the Jesse Jacksons, the Al Sharptons, et. al., and never bothered to ask if what they were saying is true.
