Just to be safe, I went to the store and grabbed a couple bottles each of Wild Turkey, Jim Beam and Jack Daniels.

I already have a good supply of Woodbridge, Bookers, Bakers, Basil, Buellet and a few others.

You have more disposable income than I. But Bulleit Rye is not bad.

Which is better? Kentucky or Tennessee Bourbon Whiskey?

(that will bring this thread back to life)

Some say it will make you cut off your own ear! On the other hand you might do some fantastic paintings of Sunflowers and Stars and stuff like really wild, man.

You realize that you're going to tick off people on both sides of that argument using "bourbon" as a modifier for "Tennessee Whiskey", right?

;-)

I just got a family sized bottle of Bulleit Rye a few weeks ago. Man that stuff is good. Meanwhile, I drive by Makers Mark, Jim Beam and Heaven hills on my way to work every day. And I work next to the Angel’s Envy building on main in Louisville.

Angels Envy in Louisville hasn't opened yet, has it? The last I heard they were still trying to get their act together on renovating the building. I actually think, at this point, Brown-Foreman is further ahead on their plans for their Whiskey Row center.

Oh, and give Hirsh a try if you get a chance. I think you'll like it.

It has not opened yet. It looks to promise to be spectacular, however. There is an awesome courtyard area they were working on when I went by. I’m going to get some photos during a lunch break soon - of that and all of whiskey row. I had no idea my new career location was so physically close to so much spectacular stuff. It’s better than Pioneer square in Seattle. And will be better yet rather soon.

Have you been down to the other end of Main St yet, for the Slugger Museum and the Frazier History Museum?

I love the Frazier, particularly the floor that was turned over to The Royal Armories.

Also, Evan Williams has a distillery “experience” down that way. Maybe I’ll slip out on the in laws and drop by over Xmas.

I’ve driven by, but not walked the area yet.
