De Blasio: Giuliani 'Fundamentally Misunderstands the Reality' of Race
The Atlantic ^ | December 7, 2014 | Allen McDuffee

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio on Sunday admonished former mayor Rudy Giuliani for his repeated recent comments that "responsibility is on the black community" for reducing the necessity of police officers in their communities.

"I think he fundamentally misunderstands the reality," said de Blasio on ABC's This Week. "There is a problem here. There is a rift here that has to be overcome. You cannot look at the incident in Missouri; another incident in Cleveland, Ohio; and another incident in New York City all happening in the space of weeks and act like there's not a problem."

By cracking down on crime, Guiliani saved the lives of thousands of young black men during his tenure as mayor. Something DeBlasio, Holder, Clinton, Cuomo, Obama, etc together did not accomplish in their combined careers.

RINO Guiliani misunderstands reality in terms of Pro-life, biblical, and conservatism issues. He is beloved by GOPe types because they believe he can really stick it to authentic, Constitutional conservatives.

Thankfully his presidential bid blew up in his face in 2008. We do not need him anywhere near the 2016 race as his primary task would be to kneecap Ted.

Guiliani saved New York City. DiBlasio will destroy it.

This is like a child admonishing a parent’s correction because of the child’s wolfing a bag of candy down 5 minutes before supper.

Of course Duh Blasio in an undisputed authority on race, economics, and social engineering. “Look at me, I married a black woman!”

Hold my beer, I’m going to vote for a commie for mayor.

"You cannot look at the incident in Missouri; another incident in Cleveland, Ohio; and another incident in New York City all happening in the space of weeks and act like there's not a problem"

How frequent were these unfortunate events before they were recently sensationalized by the LMSM?

The Columbus Dispatch, Saturday 12/6: (Ohio’s RINO Gov)

Pledging “an honest effort to listen to the frustrations,” Gov. John Kasich announced Friday that he will appoint a task force to find ways to heal Ohio communities fractured by distrust of their police forces.

Minorities, particularly African-Americans, “must feel safe and that they are not being targeted,” Kasich said in the wake of two recent headline-grabbing fatal shootings involving Ohio officers.

Kasich and three members of the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus outlined their vision yesterday for the task force that will conduct hearings beginning early next year and make recommendations to improve police-community relations.

The announcement of the task force followed what Kasich called “an excruciatingly difficult time” that he likened to a pressure cooker, saying that steam must be released to avoid any explosion.

The problem started a long time ago...when the party of slavery, the KKK, gun control for newly freed slaves, Jim Crow laws, segregation, separate but equal, etc tried a new tactic. Instead of outright hostility, Democrats came up with welfare, food stamps, Section 8 housing, etc in order to get their vote, all the while using and abusing them.

..... retrograde linear thinking, and is not in step with the new postmodern deconstructionism, which posits that reality is a social construct.

Unfortunately Marxism and Deconstructionism have been the norm for so long now in Academia that a couple of "educated" generations do not realize that they are Deconstructionists and Marxists. Like my children.

While Giuliani was saving NYC from the likes of Dinkins, the voters loved him. As soon as he righted the ship and pumped out the bilges so that normal life could resume, the people of NYC turned on him as if he were a rabid dog. The scumbags who inhabit NYC, the high and the low, cannot handle a whole lot of retrograde linear thinking that challenges Liberal Belief Systems.

DeBlasio:

You cannot look at the incident in Missouri; another incident in Cleveland, Ohio; and another incident in New York City all happening in the space of weeks and act like there's not a problem."

Among numerous other flaws, DeBlasio seems have a lack of fundamental understanding of probability and statistics.

With over three hundred million people in the country, millions of black youths and hundreds of thousands of police officers, three fatal shootings of black youths by police officers in a matter of weeks (which I presume is what he's referring to here) may just be an unusual chronological clustering of such events, and those events may have received an unusual degree of national publicity. The more important statistic is the total number of such incidents over a longer period of time nationally. (Not trying to imply that the circumstances are alike in each case.) I saw a figure of 100+ deaths of black people (of all ages) killed by law enforcement nationally over an entire year, whereas at the same time 300+ whites were killed under these circumstances.

So although blacks were killed at a rate somewhat higher than whites by law enforcement - when considering the percentage of each in the general population - one can't logically deduce from these numbers that black youths are specifically targeted, as DeBlasio seems to have done, in concluding "there is a problem." Rather, DeBlasio is trying to take advantage of the recent well-publicized cases to gain browning points (no pun intended) with the NYC black community. He sees himself as the white Al Sharpton.

What all three cases have in common is three black criminals who refused to put their hands up when confronted by the police.
