As far as I’m concerned Tamara Laine, the author of the piece, flunked her own little journalism test by failing to mention or even allude to the total number of students.

19 out of how many, Tamara?

100? 1000? 10000? 100000?

Or maybe you just can’t deal with numbers higher than 19?

The Paterson School District wiki has them having several high schools. I'm insufficiently motivated to add up all the enrollment figures, but it seems there are several thousand high school students.

This article is so screwed up I had to check the author to see if it was an AA hire. Nope, just stupid, and from the photo...it’s evident that most likely the carpet matches the drapes!

By an amazing coincidence, there were a total of 19 white students who took the test.
