FERGUSON, Mo. – The mayor of Ferguson, Missouri, says police Officer Darren Wilson will not receive a severance package as part of his resignation from the police force. Mayor James Knowles said Sunday that the St. Louis suburb and Wilson have severed their ties and that Wilson won't receive any further pay or benefits following his resignation Saturday. Wilson's lawyer says Wilson resigned because threats had been made against other officers and the department because of his continued employment. A grand jury on Monday decided not to indict Wilson for killing 18-year-old Michael Brown during an August confrontation, sparking widespread demonstrations.

-> Darren resigned for the sake of his fellow officers so they would not be in danger.

Knowing quite a number of police officers, I don’t know of one, that wants to see any of their associates harmed. Sure, they have to live within their families boundaries but they also have a family of police they want to protect. It’s the way it is.

If you have one cop out there, and it’s about him/her, they are not going to last very long because eventually, the tide will turn on them. I don’t see Wilson as that type of a person, nor it’s all about him. A young officer trying to get the guy under control. Who tries to grab a gun from a cop while assaulting the officer and lives. Some people, handle things differently, okay, I realize that..but, Wilson didn’t do anything wrong. He is not suppose to leave and or lock the door until his back up arrives; like some libs have said.

It’s easy to condemn when you have never had a gun, support gun control, never experienced fear or had any circumstances with police work. Liberalism has been a cancer on every foundation of our society. They are tapping into people’s anger about police but they want 2 different things than you or I do.

It looks simple. Wilson wasn’t fired. He doesn’t get severance pay, because he quit. ABC.

Welcome aboard.

It will be interesting to see how this works out with his wife. I believe she is
also on the Ferguson police force and is pregnant with their first child.

Ferguson was in transition to a Black Culture Community for at least ten years. Whites will be leaving the town and City of St Louis in droves until the Federal Government enforces DIVERSITY in geographic areas.
In Ferguson:
In 2000 the White<>Black diversity was: 52.4% Black, 44.8% White.
In 2010 the White<>Black diversity was: 67.3% Black, 29.3% White.
In 2020 the town will be called THE N’WEST... EAST ST.LOUIS.
THE LESSONS ARE MOVE EARLY AND DON’T BE A WHITE COP IN A TRANSITIONAL TOWN.

This will just make it harder to recruit good police officers.

He will have a hard time paying lawyers with no job. I hope he gets something else lined up.

Because I've never heard it happen.

Go to democrat underground and you will see their behavior being excused, even praised. The dump dwellers are off on an epic trip, trying to see who can sling the most BS. They had a thread going about us this morning that got so wacky that their moderators pulled it, it was that embarrassing.

The government would dedicate 100% of its resources to shut down anyone who showed how useless government itself is. The media would marginalize any such hero immediately.

Well if you feel so strongly about wiping them off the face of the earth, get your guns, go to the nearest urban center and start shooting.

Your remarks are reprehensible.

This “mayor” needs to take a walk amid the “protesters” without his police security detail.

"I don’t think we will ever know the full truth here, because we won’t know what discussions happened behind closed doors. It may have been a resignation, or it may have been an agreement for him to resign."

Even if the city did cut a deal to keep paying him under the table, I hope the payroll office isn't staffed by young Black females, or the unfulfilled assassins will still be kept informed of where he's living.

Won’t the Union take care of him? He’s still young. He can find another career. It is a shame.

Well, you know, martinidon...the people who are “protesting” Officer Wilson would see the lack of a severance package as a “victory.” As I have said elsewhere in this discussion, we have no idea what happened behind closed doors. My HOPE is that an agreement of some kind was reached in exchange for a “voluntary” resignation and that Officer Wilson was not simply left high and dry for his years of service and DOING HIS JOB when it came to Michael Brown.

Give them a police department that is reflective of the community.

That’s mighty fine but he already threw in the towel.
I am sure the Ferguson Police’s union offers five-star legal
representation too.
