IRS Accused Of Sharing 2,500 Private Taxpayer Documents With White House
By Cheryl K. Chumley November 28, 2014 The Internal Revenue Service may have given thousands of confidential filings from private taxpayers to the White House to review, a lawsuit against the Treasury Department just revealed.
The suit, filed against Treasurys inspector general by Cause of Action, a legal advocacy outfit, reveals a steady stream of communication went on between the White House and the IRS a potentially improper stream, the group alleged, The Daily Caller reported.

Nixon was a piker.
Abuse of the IRS was only improper when Nixon did it. Corruption is what Obama voters wanted, so it’s appropriate for their messiah to be this corrupt.
Only 2500? I’m sure he has way, way more.
Some people need to go to prison for this.
Nobody will, but some should.
Doesn’t matter. A teflon-coated rump ranger with high melanin concentration is in power.
These Senators Could Be in Ethics Trouble Over the IRS Scandal
The Center for Competitive Politics, which opposes campaign finance restrictions and other limits on political speech, filed a complaint with the Senate Select Committee on Ethics against nine Democratic senators, most notably Assistant Majority Leader Dick Durbin of Illinois and Carl Levin of Michigan, for repeated lobbying of the IRS to probe conservative groups.
It also specifically cites Charles Schumer of New York, who was the lead author of letters to the IRS signed by Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire; Tom Udall of New Mexico; Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island; Al Franken of Minnesota; Michael Bennet of Colorado; and Jeff Merkley of Oregon.

these rats need to be held accountable.
Wasn’t it Coleson that spend five or so years in prison for having access to one person’s FBI file?
Here the White House has access to 2500 records, and there’s no uproar at all.
Coleson should have his record expunged.
Whaaaaa????.......
My bet is Valerie Jarret got these files and instructed an IRS persecution through Lois Lerner. While jail time should be the consequence, maybe this might lead to a total reform of the IRS
chuck colson (died 2012)
Thanks for the mention. His record should still be expunged.
He should not have been convicted, if nobody else is going to be held to account for 2500 times as much crime as he committed.
It’s a dark mark in his record. He should have a clean record.
And the funny thing is - Nixon never did more than what Obama has done. The FBI and CIA did use IRS files to gather info on subjects of investigations, Nixon’s administration also used the IRS to push investigations on “tax exempt” leftist political organizations (sound familiar).
when Nixon and some of his advisors discussed using the IRS to harass opponents directly, but the director of the IRS at the time simply ignored John Dean’s request.
Sharing would not occur without a request to share and the data with which to make selections to share. The direction of that flow would be from White House *TO* the IRS. This is SERIOUS stuff to sweep under a rug.

I am sure this is a felony that will be ignored.
There were only "so many", but the "so many" were all in alphabetic order and stopped abruptly early in the alphabet.
