Darren Wilson, the Ferguson, Missouri, police officer who killed unarmed teen Michael Brown in August, setting off months of protests, will likely never be a law enforcement officer again, his lawyer said in an interview with NBC station KSDK.
"Realistically speaking, Darren will never be a police officer again, and he understands that," attorney Jim Towey said. "Going forward it will be school, and trying to carve out a new niche, new career, for he and his family."
There were violent protests this week in the St. Louis suburb after a grand jury declined to indict Wilson in Brown's death on Aug. 9. Twelve buildings and a police car were torched, police officers were pelted with bottles and rocks, and tear gas was used against crowds in protests after the grand jury's decision Monday. Other protests also erupted across the country....

I live in a very large rural county. Population of about 70k. 21k live in the largest city. There are about a dozen blacks in my entire county. He could certainly get a LEO job here.
I suspect he is reevaluating life and will now move beyond cop work.
I wish him and his new family nothing but the best.
The reality is no law enforcement agency in the US and Canada would hire him.
He’s too politically radioactive. Why bother where you are not wanted?
Wilson simply saw the writing on the wall.
Juan Williams, taking the place of O’Reilly last night, said that the police should never kill anyone. What a moron.
At last count, donations for Officer Wilson had reached close to $500,000. That should give him a good start on a new life.
He’s welcome in my town.
We’ve already got one former cop here keeping a low profile. He’s not in any real danger, just removed from a potentially dangerous situation. Kind of an out of sight, out of mind thing.
Exactly. Which was the real goal of the witch hunt, even if not found guilty, it ends his career.
And the Left has sent a message that the same fate awaits for any other cop that does anything to a hoodrat.
The fact that his lawyer announced it, not his old boss, leads me to think you are correct.
And that the city of Furgason is going to contribute to his future.
Darren and George both having to give up their lives as they knew them because of ? Why was that again?
Not fair! And this community wants people to take them seriously when they speak of injustices done to them.
If they wanted to have any credibility, they would admit right now that Darren Wilson was put in a impossible situation, and they should speak of the sins of the black community
Or, he could do the Black Like Me deal and take a couple of Rosetta Stone courses in Ebonics and Jive, and go totally undercover.
He could join the CIA or FBI.
Juan Williams became a moron long before that stupid comment.
Like from birth.
I live in a small town in Eastern Pennsylvania of about 3,600. But, we’re 97% white. Blacks stick-out like a sore thumb in my town. Especially if they would look like St. Swisher Sweet. Officer Wilson would have a pretty comfortable life here.
Wouldn’t matter. It’s not just blacks. It’s the Libs, and they’ll be watching every move he makes. He will never have peace. They won’t let him.
It’s a shame a guy can’t just do his job, defend himself from a messed up Bully without Liberals, or the leftist, or muslim agenda, or a combination of those creating self aggrandizing chaos.
I purposely didn’t state Black above because IMO it is the agendas of those I did mention that have stirred up the blacks in Ferguson.
What a wuss. Come to Albuquerque. Plenty of trash that needs taking out.
THAT’s gonna leave a mark, Mark.
It would be nice if he can collect the crowd funding money, move to some very rural state / county and continue his life away from prying eyes of the press. Might require a name change though. Likely will require a change in career - something outside of law enforcement.
My small town in rural Colorado is 99% white. Blacks are rare around these parts.
Not much for the police to do. Hasn’t been a murder here for ages.
Too bad.
Aren’t we so blessed with diversity?
