On this Thanksgiving Day I am truly thankful.
I’m thankful for my son Liam, my dog Lexie, the best sister and brother a guy could have, plus their families, niece and nephews all.
I’m thankful that, for me at least, Christmas runs from Thanksgiving to Three Kings Day.
I’m thankful too for living in San Diego, on the ocean, and for having lived in Denver, Palm Beach, Washington, DC, and Chicago.
I’m thankful that I get to write for a living. I’m the luckiest guy I know. When I was 14 I knew what I wanted to do with my life, and I get to do it.
I’m thankful for my radio show, Ransom Notes and for the new show, Bucket Strategy Investing and for being on TV. I’m thankful to my sponsors who make all that happen because they pay money for me to indulge myself in politics and finance.
I’m thankful that Obama is term limited, although I suspect he thinks he can use his phone and pen to be de facto president for life.
I’m thankful for the acquittal of officer Darren Wilson who was exonerated by the grand jury in the Ferguson case. I’m thankful for the African-American Uber driver who was not afraid to say he thought the officer was doing his job.
As I was stuck the 5 North, just south of La Jolla yesterday-- because some knob-job Ferguson protestors decided to block the freeway-- I gave thanks that at times a little police brutality can have a salutary effect.
I’m thankful that they really, truly didn’t read the bill before they passed it. I’m thankful that Jonathon Gruber is as dumb as Nancy Pelosi.
I’m thankful that spiced rum tastes great on ice in copper cups, especially at the back ofthe boat LionHearted. I’m thankful that Point Loma makes San Diego one of the greatest natural harbors in the world.
I’m thankful for fracking and how it’s hurting the major oil cartel, which is the financing vehicle for radical Islam. Fracking will do more to stem the tide of terrorism than all of Obama’s policies combined.
So…I’m thankful for irony too.
And poetic justice.
They’ll do more with their drill than he will with his pen.
I’m thankful for my friends Gina, Anne-Marie, Mark, Chele, Admiral Cully, Wiens, Baisley, Anthony, Darrel, Rocky, Ray, Kim, Michelle, Stephanie, Theresa, Chief Honda, Kelly, Rebecca.
I’m thankful for my faith, the Rosary, the mass.
I’m thankful that my ex-wife, Kim Ransom, was just elected to the state legislature in Colorado. Go Kim!
I’m thankful for the United States Navy, Marine, Army and the Air Force.
I’m thankful that I’m an unrepentant necon, war-monger, hawk who thinks that America is the greatest country ever and that if other countries would just do THEIR part, the world would be perfect.
I’m thankful that because I come from Chicago, I was more bored with Obama than worried about him. I’m thankful that the next president of the United States will be a Republican.
And that the Bears win beat the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day.
I’m thankful for the fighters in Ukraine, who fight for their country, not Russia. I’m thankful that Christians still practice their faith in the Middle East.
I’m thankful for my readers, my listeners, my opponents, my naysayers and my supporters.
Now ask a liberal what they are thankful for.
That’s right: Annoy them on Thanksgiving Day.
It’s a great holiday.
And I am thankful for you, Johnnie baby.

I’m thankful there are no liberals in my family.....Thanksgiving dinner will be comprised of good food cooked by my niece and her husband, and lots of conversational Obamabashing......
In our family, before the meal, we take turns talking about what we’re thankful for. Sometimes they’re long-winded, and other times they’re simple.
After too many years to count, the one I ALWAYS think about was said by my 5 year old daughter. When it was her turn to say what she was thankful for, she said, “I’m thankful for these forks.”

The drop in oil prices is also doing more damage to Iran's economy than sanctions ever could. Sanctions are useless when other countries, i.e. Germany, as selling them all the stuff we are not.
