I’ll be the first to admit my State is well on the road to ruin and most likely nothing can stop it. But to say there are no Republicans is just plain untrue.

The Governor-elect (Bruce Rauner) Senator (Mark Kirk - my former congressman) and Comptroller (Judy Barr Topinka) are moderate liberals who go along to get along. They are nice people, but they won’t push meaningful change.

Illinois has a lot deeper hole than Michigan but greater gun freedom is clearly driven by republicans.

"Just because your a republican doesn’t mean you are a republican.. Many democrats cross dress as republicans.. They are Transdemocrats.."

Political disorientation.

Their average pay is $110,000/year. Their pensions average 80-90% of their income

There are perhaps 2% of the Engineers in this country with those kind of stats, mainly in terms of the pension.

And very few Engineers have state guaranteed job security.

Really amazing when you consider the level of effort comparison.

Gee, how can Chicago dominate Springfield and the rest of IL?

Thank Scotus. Senator Dirksen wasn't pleased.

The fix is in, since 1964.

If Your State is a Mess . . .

That is true, but the same can be said of various Congressional Republicans and leaders too.

The previous comment made it sound as if there were Z-E-R-O Republicans in Illinois. That is not true.

True. Not one Republican left in the entire state of Illinois.
