AP Warns Black Friday Means 'Perfect Storm' of Gun Buying

The liberals at Associated Press have a special reason to freak out over Black Friday: it’s a huge day for gun sales, and the background-checks system is severely tested. AP writer Nick Stroud even found space for the noting it’s a “perfect storm,” like the disastrous ship-sinking movie.

The volume of sales means some purchasers “beat the system,” meaning there are only three business days for a background check:

"Warns"! "Perfect storm"! Good thing there's zero negative connotations made here. Yup, the bad guys know that the system MAY be overloaded so they'll show up by the dozens to try and "get one over" on the sellers. That's what they usually do isn't it? Or just by them on the internet where you NEVER have to worry about a UBGC.

Buying Guns Has Become A New Post-Thanksgiving Tradition In America Updated: 01/23/2014 6:58 pm EST

Every year on Black Friday, shoppers across the United States brave crowds to battle each other for door-buster sales on flat-screen TVs, video games, Uggs and the hottest toys.

But other bargain hunters are out stalking a different sort of discounted prey: firearms. And they should find plenty of deals. Gunmakers are marketing aggressively, trying to revive sales that have slowed a bit after a flurry a year ago.

Gun-buying after Thanksgiving is becoming something of a holiday tradition. In each of the past two years, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has reported a record number of calls for background checks for gun purchases on the Friday after Thanksgiving. A flood of 154,873 calls on Black Friday in 2012, nearly three times the daily average that year, caused outages at some of the National Instant Criminal Background Check System's call centers.

Ha. One good thing about Ferguson is that it is the best anti-gun control advertising for law abiding citizens one can imagine.

"Free Black Friday shipping from SIG’s web store at http://store.sigsauer.com/"

I had always been a revolver man but I finally decided to try buying a semi. Based on recommendations from FR I went with a sig saur. I have no complaints at all and it is a wonderful firearm. I still prefer shooting revolvers but I have to admit there is a LOT of comfort knowing you've got 15 rounds in the magazine and one in the pipe.

I just picked up my new H&K P30l 40s&w LEM with safety.
After the $200 rebate final price is $606. A handsome gun.

If Officer Wilson had one of these he wouldn’t have had to waste so many bullets to bring down the “Gentle” violent Giant.

One of the best Black Friday sales out there.

+1 The only question that remains is are there enough lamp posts, and is there enough rope?
