A cat with an uncanny ability to detect when nursing home patients are about to die has proven itself in around 50 cases by curling up with them in their final hours, according to a new book.

I have a feeling the cat cuddled up on an American flag recently.
I believe its reliability is well above random variances.
Years ago I had seen a gastroenterologist for some stomach issues I was having. Looked him up a few years later and he had retired then died. This was a younger man so I had to do some digging to see what happened. He also had Lewy Body dementia. I always thought that was particularly sad...a young brilliant doctor that had a slow mental decline that he likely was baffled by.
Gay.
OH I remember that episode
I got a story tell you when 10 years when my uncle was losing his battle with cancer he decied go home to died after there nothing could do with disease
The family cat hardly left his bedside and my uncle died few month later and cat was on his body just lay there and he didn’t want emergeny workers take my uncle body way
He was biting and scratch everybody
It was weird
Cat's Eye!
Can he predict who will win the Super Bowl?
He might but I can predict who won’t: The Vikings.
Not sure. In my opinion, having five cats, they just like curling up next to a warm body. Preferably one that doesn’t move around too much. I don’t think they understand that a dying person doesn’t stay too warm after awhile.
Humble thanks but to be honest, I’m not involved in what is called ‘direct care’’, i.e, a nurses aide. I work in maintenance but you can’t be a person without the smallest amount of common courtesy and simple human compassion not to give a smile, a friendly(and daily) greeting or a simple, gentle touch on the shoulder to someone so deprived of it or who has forgotten what that means and feels like. I think the Good Lord gave me both in abundance.
I trust your post is in jest.LOL! Work in a nursing home for awhile and you’ll see what I mean. And not in a ghoulish way. You’ll come to understand that every minute of life is precious and none should be wasted.
I have no trouble believing this story about a precognitive feline.
If it was my time... It would be a great comfort to me to have my beloved cat curled up next to me.
I love the little fur ball.
You should get the talented Hopalong Ginsberg to write a song about Oscar :-)
Covered in cats is definitely how I want to go.
I’ll talk to Mr Ginsberg, but he’s a little booked up right now.
*smile* Yes, My post was made mainly in jest. :) Wanted to inject just a bit of levity into the thread was all.
Have a happy Thanksgiving!
Cheers!
Thanks so much and a Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
That cat'll kill ya!
The Brits love their moggies.
They love murder mysteries or morbid enigmas like this.
Me I think kitties are angels. Dogs too.
