Yes, one or two cases. One woman, who was deported for some visa problem, is now back in the U.S. legally and married to an American citizen. She’s an asset to the country. Former navy sailor - Colombian Navy!
The other was a woman who - after many, many years pursuing a PhD in one field dropped it all to pursue a degree in another field on scholarship. Visa violation - her visa was only for the study of one particular subject. She was sent packing. I am not 100% that her case would be called a deportation, however.
I, too, live in California and have NEVER heard of or known anyone to be deported. Illegals protest on the streets, they give interviews to the media with their faces and names revealed, and they’re not deported. No wonder they’re so brazen.
Of course, we’ve all seen the newspaper articles saying, “The drunk driver, Jose Miguel Antonio Garcia Ramirez, was deported nine times and had six DUIs before finally killing someone yesterday.” So I guess some people must be deported, but they waltz right back in.
No, but I read today that Mexico is going to charge a fee to anyone who enters Mexico and stays longer then 7 days...
I say, we should collect fee’s too. Mexico is going to charge 28.00. I say we charge 500.00 or more. There take that.

None of my Chinese-born friends have been deported. They went through the whole rigamarole. They spent up to 15 years to become citizens. They are very proud to be American citizens. All of them are Christens. My herb doc proudly wears an American flag pin and a Cross upon his lapel.
Sure, they have deported many folks from Gitmo back to the ME.
Wish I could name you 30 Million illegal aliens being deported...
An acquaintance that works in the Poverty Sector (bilingual teacher in an urban public school) says two or three parents were deported (out of many more here illegally).
I was almost refused entry into the UK and was threatened with jail and was put in a holding area with a guard while my creds were checked. Too long of a story, tho.
Nope but I’m treated to tear-jerker stories about them at least weekly in the local rag.
I know of one man who was deported.
His wife and two children were not officially deported, but they went back to their home country with him, out of loyalty and love. (No break-up of the family)
He was a medical doctor and not convicted of any crime.
But they went back...to Israel.
It is still a mystery to me, but I think the country of origin might be a factor.
Babu Bhatt, but I think he was fictionaln
How about Conrad Black, Baron Black of Crossharbour?
While coming across a litle arrogant, his crime was being a white, conservative Canadian in socialist Chicago.
I know a couple, but they were all white Europeans (Romania and Poland).
There’s a Kenyan born Indonesian citizen I’d like to see deported. Easy to find...lives in a big white hut in DC.
Elian Gonzalez was deported back to Cuba in a sense.
I personally know of a doctor who was sent back to Egypt after 9-11, but it was his student visa getting taken away and not specifically being deported.
Yes, in 1970. The head cook at the bowling alley I was working at that time got deported, sent back to Mexico. He had been in the US for about two years. While here he saved over $12K, said he was saving to start his own restaurant in Mexico.
Well, I didn’t actually “know” them, but a bunch of chickies from the Chinese buffets in Lewiston and Portland got deported a while back.
It was in the news.
I am in Calif. and I went to court in Santa Cruz for a ticket for a California Stop:
First guy up is for a guy with no license, Judge asks him if his ticket had anything to do with his immigration status, the guy says, “si”.
Judge turns to the packed courtroom, asks if for a show of hands of those here today for the same offense —a sea of hands goes up.
The Judge BULK EXCUSES **ALL THOSE CASES**...!
“This has purely to do with the way the law was written...”
Gavel goes down, and they all break into smiles, and form a line to get their paperwork square away.
Ya like that? About 14 months ago.
