SESSIONS: NOW IS ‘TIME TO STAND STRONG’ AGAINST OBAMA’S ILLEGAL AMNESTY TO PROTECT AMERICAN WORKERS
Breitbart ^ | November 20, 2014 | by MATTHEW BOYLE

Posted on 11/20/2014 10:01:15 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Incoming Senate Budget Committee chairman Sen. Jeff Sessions says that President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty is something that is “endangering our entire constitutional order” as a democratic Republic.

“President Obama’s executive amnesty violates the laws Congress has passed in order to create and implement laws Congress has refused to pass,” Sessions said in a statement. “The President is providing an estimated 5 million illegal immigrants with social security numbers, photo IDs, and work permits—allowing them to now take jobs directly from struggling Americans during a time of record immigration, low wages, and high joblessness.”

Sessions noted that Obama’s specific actions were each rejected by Congress, and as such acting without congressional approval puts the U.S. system of government in jeopardy. Even though Obama and the White House claim that Obama’s actions are backed up by each previous president dating back to Dwight Eisenhower, the previous presidents’ immigration executive actions—at least the Republican ones—were done in conjunction with the will of congressional approval. Obama’s does not have congressional approval.

“This amnesty plan was rejected by the American people’s Congress,” Sessions said. “By refusing to carry out the laws of the United States in order to make his own, the President is endangering our entire Constitutional order.”

Sessions also hammered the specific detail of Obama’s plan that allows illegal aliens to get green cards—and a fast track to citizenship and taxpayer benefits.

By all means, let us push Jeff Sessions aside in favor of Rino Mike Enzi.

That we we will get no action on immigration or Obamacare but we will get an Internet tax.

I see this is an amnesty for guys like Rev Al to rid himself of the over 4 million in tax leans he owes the Government. Just a question is the Rev and Odumbo meeting this morning for Brunch? Re-pubs need to tighten the purse strings, and send hundreds and hundreds of old and new Bills to the WH for final approval. Then we will see who the obstructionist is. Amen

The House of Representatives has a moral responsibility to Impeach Obama, regardless of whether the Senate would ever convict.

This should be the first act the new Congress addresses in January 2015.

Duck hunters will soon be one of the only groups propping up this criminal government with funding.

I’m afraid though that the American people will never figure out all of this, and “business” as usual will forever prevail.

But the American people outside most of the South and parts of the West will again believe the media and see Republicans as “obstructionist” if they don’t fall in line with Obama, despite voter returns being an aberration on November 4, 2014.

It was impossible to convince WY stand-pat voters that Enzi is a RINO.

Americans lack an understanding of executive overreach; nothing will happen again.

But the American people will support this for fear of resistance being futile. Bad electoral choices since the 1930s has brought all of this to fruition.

"It was impossible to convince WY stand-pat voters that Enzi is a RINO."

Wyoming gave us Alan Simpson, co-sponsor of the Simpson-Mizzoli Act, which legalized millions in 1986.

He can be impeached, but he will not be removed. The votes aren’t there.

This oft repeated prediction fails to take into account the dynamic nature of the process. Faced with the prospect of losing another 8 - 10 Senate seats in 2016, the survival instinct just might kick in.

Another way is for the border governors to close the borders and deport illegals they catch and dare the feds to try to do something about it.

THIS x 50.

The cowardice and corruption is too deep and entrenched at the federal level. As well as deportation, county officials should refuse to issue marriage licenses to same sex couples. I have seen a few resign, but not one who has refused.

We have the example of 1930's Germany all out there in our history books. Can't anybody read? The excuse of, " I was just following orders" got quite a few of them a long drop on a short rope.

They should impeach him. If slow Joe isn’t up for the job, impeach him too. But I have a feeling that Biden would suddenly develop the skills.

Has Sessions said anything about impeachment?

I haven't heard anything from Sessions, but he is the type of legislator to keep his powder dry and use it when the time is right. Say, mid-January 2015.

You only need 51 votes in the Senate to convict. Obama can certainly be removed.
