SESSIONS: NOW IS ‘TIME TO STAND STRONG’ AGAINST OBAMA’S ILLEGAL AMNESTY TO PROTECT AMERICAN WORKERS
Breitbart ^ | November 20, 2014 | by MATTHEW BOYLE

Posted on 11/20/2014 10:01:15 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Incoming Senate Budget Committee chairman Sen. Jeff Sessions says that President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty is something that is “endangering our entire constitutional order” as a democratic Republic.

“President Obama’s executive amnesty violates the laws Congress has passed in order to create and implement laws Congress has refused to pass,” Sessions said in a statement. “The President is providing an estimated 5 million illegal immigrants with social security numbers, photo IDs, and work permits—allowing them to now take jobs directly from struggling Americans during a time of record immigration, low wages, and high joblessness.”

Sessions noted that Obama’s specific actions were each rejected by Congress, and as such acting without congressional approval puts the U.S. system of government in jeopardy. Even though Obama and the White House claim that Obama’s actions are backed up by each previous president dating back to Dwight Eisenhower, the previous presidents’ immigration executive actions—at least the Republican ones—were done in conjunction with the will of congressional approval. Obama’s does not have congressional approval.

“This amnesty plan was rejected by the American people’s Congress,” Sessions said. “By refusing to carry out the laws of the United States in order to make his own, the President is endangering our entire Constitutional order.”

Sessions also hammered the specific detail of Obama’s plan that allows illegal aliens to get green cards—and a fast track to citizenship and taxpayer benefits.

The lower 47% of wage earners already dont pay taxes.

These illegals wont owe any back taxes.

This is it. This will either be our finest moment in history, or our Waterloo.

If this is allowed to stand (forget the media - eff ‘em) 2016 won’t really matter, assuming an election actually takes place.

Senator Sessions is right.

I wish I had the confidence in GOP leadership to stop this. I think Boehner and McConnell would fight harder against the conservative base than against Obama. They already said no to impeachment. Is Boehner going to use the power of the purse? Will the Supreme Court rule against obama?

The GOP must run promising amnesty for not paying Fed taxes.

It's already illegal to pay federal taxes:
22 U.S. Code § 2780 - Transactions with countries supporting acts of international terrorism

In particular:

(b) Prohibited transactions by United States persons
   (1) In general
A United States person may not take any of the following actions:
         (D) Taking any other action which would facilitate the acquisition, directly or indirectly, of any munitions item by the government of any country described in subsection (d) of this section, or any person acting on behalf of that government, if the United States person has reason to know that that action will facilitate the acquisition of that item by such a government or person.

Why would a US person have reason to believe that the above is being violated by the US?
History: Iran/Contra, Syria, Libya, ISIS, etc.

The post I responded to said “Impeach and remove from office”. I said there aren’t the votes there to remove. I never said don’t impeach him. Do you have a reading comprehension problem?

Sen Sessions is now a target of Mcconnell who’s trying to replace him from a committee he chairs.

The GOPe doesn’t like outspoken Conservatives like Sessions.

A lot of speeches, but will Congress actually DO something?

Based on past experience, I’d say probably not.

He can be impeached, but he will not be removed.

That is for a jury to decide, we haven't heard the case yet.

Unemployment is very high, and there are no jobs for American citizens. He is luring people here with promises of jobs that don’t exist. These illegals are mostly illiterate, without any marketable skill. They will overload the health care system (what’s left of it) the school systems, housing, etc. Our dear leader is trying to collapse the system, create anarchy, and again, divide and conquer, ginning up race and class warfare.

Impeach the bustard, even though the Senate most probably won’t vote to convict. Short of getting physical, impeachment is our strongest weapon, imo.

Everyone knows that what Obama has done is illegal. And everyone knows he’s doing it to destroy this country.

Obviously, the politicians are too afraid to stand up to him. So it must be the people. One way the people can stand up is simply ignore his edict.

Another way is for the border governors to close the borders and deport illegals they catch and dare the feds to try to do something about it.

I know there are lots of legal Mexicans in Houston who are against this and they will fight on the side of the patriots. Just like the Mexicans who died at the Alamo.

I think Obama may have reached the moment that FDR reached when he tried to stack the Supreme Court.

Americans don't like the Constitution to be ignored.

No use impeaching if you aren’t going to get a conviction!

“I know there are lots of legal Mexicans in Houston who are against this and they will fight on the side of the patriots. Just like the Mexicans who died at the Alamo.”

The battle of the Alamo was fought in 1836. Santa Ana caused the revolt of five Mexican provinces when he over rode the Mexican Constitution which created a Republican form of government. Texas was one of the provinces which revolted, and most of the people who died there were Mexican citizens.
