I am wondering if Mexico is going to have a revolution? They’re seriously overdue for it.

DECLARATION OF WAR!

Polk received word of the Thornton Affair, which, added to the Mexican government’s rejection of Slidell, Polk believed, constituted a casus belli (cause for war).[26]

His message to Congress on May 11, 1846, stated that “Mexico has passed the boundary of the United States, has invaded our territory and shed American blood upon American soil.”

Congress approved the declaration of war on May 13, with southern Democrats in strong support. Sixty-seven Whigs voted against the war on a key slavery amendment,[29] but on the final passage only 14 Whigs voted no,[29] including Rep. John Quincy Adams.

Congress declared war on Mexico on May 13, 1846, after only having a few hours to debate. Although President Paredes’s issuance of a manifesto on May 23 is sometimes considered the declaration of war, Mexico officially declared war by Congress on July 7.

Coming to the US. Yep they are way overdue. I hope they have the courage to fight for their country or else we will see more border jumpers.

Seriously, they never finished their last one; they just ran out of bullets. The conflicts that existed in 1910 were never resolved and plague Mexico to this day.

I read an article on FR yesterday by some idiot who wrote that California was really part of Mexico because Mexican culture so dominated there. Right away I knew that simpleton had never been to Mexico and knew nothing of its culture aside from what he thought he saw in California.

We’d better build a fence, first.

Unless it’s personal, nothing will happen. If it was in Mexico City, maybe they would do something. We have the unborn being sacrificed every day, about 3000? The only time in recent memory Americans got out of the house was for the tea party because it hurt.
