Jonathan Gruber let it slip. He thinks you're pretty much a moron. And, being a moron, you couldn't possibly understand legislation as complex and important as the Affordable Care Act. Actually, Gruber didn't merely let it slip - he repeatedly called Americans idiots, in the process affirming his own vastly superior intelligence.
And he obviously is a pretty smart guy. It's not easy getting into MIT and then earning a Harvard Ph.D. in economics. All his life Gruber was certainly told he was brilliant, destined for great things. But Gruber, blessed with a high IQ, was cursed by possessing not a smidgen of humility or common sense.
And so, over the past week, Americans have watched Jonathan Gruber, PhD go from Democratic star and savant to the man no one has ever heard of. Of course, if you rely on network news for your information, right about now you're scratching your head, asking, "Jonathan who?" But that's another story, one we'll leave to Bernie Goldberg and Howie Kurtz.
Do you think Jonathan Gruber is the only government big shot with a very low opinion of the American people? Or is he the one who happened to be the most in need of attention and got caught strutting and preening on camera?

Yes, it was a good article. I did not mean to demean it, and Bill O’Reilly probably approved it.
It simply seems rather more freedom oriented than I am used to with Bill, so I was a little snarky.

The only people who even know about Gruber are those who strongly oppose 0bama. I have done my own survey at work and the lefty side has never heard of him and don’t know there is a controversy. Guess Gruber is right about the voters for his side.

The one thing that everyone needs to make note of, is that democRATS will use you when it is good for them - look at how they gushed about how smart Gruber was back when we had to pass it so we can see what is in it. (BTW, has anyone personally challenged Pelosi on that one? HELL NO, NO BALLS). Now notice they all have distanced themselves from him. Barack was even splitting words about his employment - not a member of his staff. No better than Clinton trying to define what is, is.

The Old Media keeps telling us that Joathan Gruber is an extremely intelligent man. After all, he went to Harvard and MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
But think about it: Joseph Goebbles was an extremely intelligent man, too. In fact he was a bona-fide genius, and the power behind the entire Nazi regime. And he was also a bitter, unhealthy little man with a warped personality and gender identification issues. The kind of man that you would never leave alone with your children.
There’s a big difference between being “smart” and being wise. Neither Jonothan Gruber or Joseph Goebbles were wise men. They are instead the epitome of the ivory tower educated fools.
Something I think everyone misses - even me, because I read this point in a post somewhere (and I unfortunately can’t remember where or by whom), is that the people Gruber was referring to as stupid were the DEMOCRATS.
Remember, no Republican voted for Obamacare, and Republican and Conservative voters were up in arms over it. Gruber fooled none of them. The people Gruber fooled were the useful idiot Democrat voters. The same people who are now scratching their empty heads and going into shock because their health insurance has quadrupled, or because they can’t get any at all. THOSE are the people Gruber had to fool, to get their votes and political support - and he got them.
Because he’s right - they’re stupid.
I prefer “Grubercrats.” An apellation I would apply not only to Democrats but to journalists; there is no difference. Any more than there is a difference between a scientist who claims to know that CO2 is going to disastrously change the climate and Gruber claiming to know that Obamacare was a positive step for America.
Gruber: high, nasal voice, pressured, rapid speech. Sounds like a manic Asperger’s patient.
