Rick Perry: Texas might sue Barack Obama
The Politico ^ | November 19, 2014 | Jake Sherman

BOCA RATON, Fla. — Texas Gov. Rick Perry said the Lone Star State might sue Barack Obama’s administration over the president’s planned executive order to grant relief to as many as 5 million undocumented immigrants.

“I think that’s probably a very real possibility,” Perry said during a panel here at the Republican Governors Association’s annual meeting.

Perry, who is considering another presidential bid in 2016, said the cost of illegal immigration is “extraordinary.” He said his state spends $12 million a month on securing the border.

Perry remarked that state Attorney General Greg Abbott, who was recently elected governor, has described his current job like this: “I go to the office, I sue Obama and I go home.”

That's at the national level, if it happens. Right this minute, Perry is a non-issue for me, and if he runs for anything, you can bet I'll be screaming about liberal Republicans like I always do.

I do separate the State and the Federal.

I'm with you.

I promise I won't ever let anyone in the sound of my voice forget what a liberal bastard that Republican is.

I’m supporting Perry & Abbott on this maneuver (if they did not it would sink us) but Cruz for 16.

Well, they are tied at the hip. The GOP coordinates through the party from Fed on down. He will not run for anything but president and only then as a spoiler to peel the vote from the right and send ‘conservatives’ back into a self flagelating frensy of delusion all over again. These guys do nothing in a vacuum. All of this is top down orchestrated. They will do it again. We ignore it at our peril.

The libtards liked to do that to Sarah Palin, which forced her to resign before they bankrupted her.

One impeachment or numerous lawsuits?

One cut or a thousand cuts?

I'll wait until he announces for something. Have no fear, I'll remind everyone what a liberal he is.

“I think that’s probably a very real possibility,”

The iron will of rick perry is as evident now as when he flipflopped on Ebola flight bans.

Until the states get off the addiction of the federal government hand outs, expect not one dam thing to be done.

They can huff and puff all they want, but in the end, they all cave when pappa gubermint says they'll get their funds cut.

If they really want to be serious, they will file articles of secession.

False choice.

Some states have turned off the Federal faucet on some items.

If they hadn't, Obamacare wouldn't be going back up to the Supremes.

Oh really? How well has that worked out so far? Name me one thing that follows the constitution this clown has done?

There is no longer a constitution. The contract is null and void and the states need not any longer follow it.

BTW..Roberts re wrote Obama care in his ruling. And how many times has the clown re wrote it?

Perry is a lamer duck than Obama.

He has less than 2 months left in office. It will be Abbott who butts heads with Barry, and he is more than capable of doing just that.

Just so you know, and in spite of what the Perry faithful may say, Perry has said he is for a "pathway to citizenship", for those here ILLEGALLY, which, to any thinking person knows is amnesty.

Andrew Romano - "But just to be clear: if border security is accomplished, you can envision some sort of path to citizenship for people who are here illegally.

Rick Perry - "Sure."

The left seems pretty nervous about the lack of 'state exchanges' and the money that goes with them.

You are talking about a different case.

And if you really think the contract is null and void, get froggy. I still want to work within the law as long as possible, without the infamatory rhetoric.

Not defending Perry, but I can see a path, too. They leave and start at square one.

With that I agree. But that’s not what La Raza Rick meant. One only need look at his long history of pandering to the ILLEGAL hordes to prove it.

Working within the law hasn't been tried yet. In fact, Obama hasn't promulgated his illegal alien EO yet.

That has to happen first.

"If they really want to be serious, they will file articles of secession."

Or they could help organize millions of Americans to go to Washington to discuss the history of the last days of Nicolae Ceausescu as a thought experiment.
