Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon on Tuesday named 16 people to the new Ferguson Commission, an independent panel tasked with helping the St. Louis County suburb of Ferguson heal after the fatal police shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown. [ ]
The Democratic governor selected a racially diverse group: nine of its members are black; seven are white. Its ranks include the owner of Ferguson construction supply company, two pastors, a university professor, two attorneys, a 20-year-old community activist and a St. Louis police detective who is also president of the state chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police.

“Heal” = racial pandering
No amount of baksheesh is going to “heal” this unless it really blows up in their faces.
Sounds like a nice cup of Kowtow to me.
Nixon said that having “a diverse, deep commission with the unquestioned ability to make the hard calls and the short- and long-term recommendations to policymakers, the governor, legislators (and to deliver) a clear, clarion call to action.”
Are they going to recommend that young men not rob stores, and then after the robbery, do not get into a physical altercation with a policeman, so that they don’t end up dead???
Spare us. More kindling for Zero’s fire.
I hope they do.
When the situation calls for a response, appoint a commission. Guaranteed inertia; paralysis by analysis, etc.
That 20yo activist is probably the one whose house got robbed!
No Justice, No Peace! Take 2 #Ferguson Protest Leader Has House Looted

Alexis Templeton has been on the front lines of the Ferguson protest movement since its inception. KCUR reported:
Twenty-year-old Alexis Templeton has been on the front lines of protests since she arrived in Ferguson, five days after Brown was shot.
I was in Phoenix, Arizona, when Michael Brown was shot and killed. When I got back, I immediately hit the ground, standing at the front of riot lines, being face to face with the police, she said. That was me for the last 89 days. Tomorrow, it will be three months, the days start to blend together.
She is a member of Millennial Activists United, a group that was founded in the aftermath of Browns death to unify younger Ferguson residents who are fighting to make their voices heard. She says her fellow protesters have become her new family. Trying to create change in her community has become her everyday life.
Templeton, a prominent protester, was recently tapped to help with one of the citys proposed reforms to its police department: a civilian review board.
Alexis Templeton often leads chants at protests. She lost her voice for a while from screaming. Her yells can be heard on many of the livestreams.
Yesterday while protesting her home got burglarized.
Someone broke into my house

“Heal = racial pandering”
Good catch. I’ll have to add that definition to my list of “progressive” terms - it’s getting pretty long.
How about a looting czar. They’re going to need a looting czar. It appears the Grand Jury is holding out until “Black Friday” to release their decision when the looters will already be in the stores “shopping”.
She got looted
She got looted — what, she doesn’t want to take a looting for the team???
Did she get ‘looted’ for street cred?
Kind of wonder about that.
what the heck??? I thought we’re not supposed to call certain people Negroes anymore???? What the heck???
‘If I had a daughter.. - oh, wait’
It is sad when 14% of the population upsets the tranquility of the rest of a law-abiding society! How different would it be if the politicians were blind to race?
