I’ve been to the East Hartford store several times. It also has a restauarant that serves wild boar, bison, elk, moose, etc. Here’s a link to the website: http://www.cabelas.com/stores/store_info.jsp?pageName=023
Even if I don’t buy anything (which is only a hypothetical), the walk around the place is a joyful experience.
Not to be a picky but the Gander Mountain store is technically in Tampa. Oldsmar stops at the Pinellas county line at Race Track road. I took my kids to GM shortly after it opened. The only thing they were impressed with was the green camo kids’ ride-in shopping carts. I was impressed with the 270 degree wall of guns -not favorably since it was over the top.
We’re waiting on the Bass Pro shop ...like everyone else.
Well I’m still new to the area, moved here in 2010 and sometimes still need my GPS to get around so that would be my mistake. I’ll visit BP when it opens too and may go there more after it is there a while but I’ve tried to get Cabela’s to consider the area. The Hamburg opening drew people from every state surrounding PA and the Tampa area sure has a lot of people who boat, fish, shoot and hunt. Anyway, water under the bridge, their loss.
We are at Gander Mountain at least once a month...it is about 14 miles from our house.
