Mark Begich concedes to Dan Sullivan in Alaska Senate race

Finally.

An additional 7,286 votes were added to the Alaska Senate totals today so far. And while Begich received almost 58% of those votes, Sullivan still leads by 6,211 votes. It is believed there will no more than 3,000 additional ballots to count by this Wednesday (Nov 19).

We finally got some good news on undecided race front. Mark Begich only narrowed Sullivan’s margin by about 2,000 votes. Closer than I had hoped, but I’ll take it. Dan Sullivan has 6 years to strengthen his appeal. If Al Franken can, anyone can.

Bingo! Reminds me of what Howard K. Smith once said of the communists: “what's mine is mine, what's yours is negotiable.” Same idea here; when the RATS rule, everything is by their rules, no compromise is needed. When the GOP is in power, RATS remind the GOP they “must” compromise. It's a double standard that has long past its usefulness.

Well, I don’t really live in a garbage dump.

My wife an I live in our dream home, in the forest, overlooking a lake.

We have wild turkeys, bobcats, coyotes, mountain lions crossing our property regularly.

And peace and quiet, when we want it.

No worries about us, we like it here.

I’m off to do what is almost a ritual, turn up a favorite song, really loud, open the sliding door, stand out on the patios and look at the stars.
