Why an alternative?
It was working fine before Obamacare.

Yea, it’s called: “Keep your damn hands off my healthcare and forget about making me pay for anyone else’s healthcare!”

Alternative: Tort reform
Alternative: Sever the relationship between your employer and your health care insurance. Make it like car insurance and homeowners/renters insurance.

Before Hillary started yapping and Clintbilly stuck his oar in, medical care used to be a LOT cheaper and more efficient.
Then, with Clinton, half the money went to the insurance companies instead of the hospitals and doctors.
And with Obama, God alone knows where the money is going. Clinton certainly doesn’t, and he doesn’t care, just as long as it’s being sucked out of our pockets.

Agree with the first. The second should be at the discretion of the employer.

Well FReepers, do we need an alternative? If you still have a doctor, and you want to, you can keep your doctor, HSA, insurance across state lines, keep your moonshine and cigars, no piece no justice...errr wait, it's all running together...

I wonder if Obama will ask for the $400,000 back from Gruber if his words help destroy ObamaCare.

The GOP has had an alternative for 6 years. In every election it is posted on the website.

Why?
It is no-one else's business, including the Government, whether or not my employer chooses to compensate me by paying for my Health Insurance.

Yeah, we’ve repeatedly offered an alternative, in about 4 points,
and it’s already been proven to ACTUALLY lower premiums, deductibles, and increase the number of available providers/doctors.

Sure, but issues like insurance fraud, double billing, etc., need to be addressed.

I agree.
I’d like to see employers offer their employees a cash alternative to buying their health care insurance.

Get rid of all Medicare, Medicaid.
Get rid of Reagan's EMTALA.
End all .gov subsidies and contributions, ie your money.
Paying cash will take care of the rest.

I remember seeing a program that in Germany & Japan, reasonable health care rates (1000-1500/ month for a family plan) was the norm and everybody thought it was fair.
If our Repubs don't solve the problems, go far enough; it will fail. Not as easy as parroting the free market approach, and I wish it was.
