Bill De Blasio 2016? NYC Mayor Will Run For President, Beat Hillary Clinton, New York..

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is maneuvering to run for president in 2016 and will use his progressive credentials to derail former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s expected bid for the White House, according to a prediction from the chairman of the Republican Party in New York. Ed Cox, the New York state GOP chairman, also said de Blasio’s plan will be successful, according to the New York Post.

“It’s like Barack Obama; he was a brand-new freshman senator, and he ran for president and won. I think de Blasio is going to do it,” Cox said at a recent meeting, according to a source who spoke to the Post. The New York GOP chairman said a “Democratic lobbyist” told him that de Blasio’s posturing as a progressive leader is part of his plan to run for president in 2016.

Let’s just say JFK Jr. didn’t die of natural causes.

It was a plane crash, no? (Getting tinfoil hat ready...)

Ed Cox should worry about the NYS Republican Party, which he is Chairman, and the collapse under his reign. Sheesh, what a loser.

It is an interesting set of coincidences. JFK was the heir apparant to Monyhans Senate seat, and was looked at as a Presidential contender a few cycles down the road.

He dies in a plane crash. His recovered body is quickly cremated and the ashes buried at sea off the fantail of a USN destroyer retasked for just that purpose.

The Kennedys then throw all their support behind Obama in 2008, pretty much waging holy war against the Clintons like some kind of mafia vendetta.

Then again, JFK had a secretary named Lincoln and Lincoln a secretary named Kennedy. Both were killed on the same day of the week, in the presence of their wives, etc etc etc ...

according to a prediction from the chairman of the Republican Party in New York

Maybe not the most credible or reliable source for this "prediction."

My dream 2016 lineup:

Democrats: De Blasio (or Warren)
Independent: Hillary (the "centralist")
Republicans: Cruz

I don’t think JFK, Jr. was ever that interested in Politics, he just did not look as though he wanted elected office. He also came across as somewhat conservative in manner.
I am not sure I ever read his thinking about any issues at all. Does anyone know what he thought about any political issues??

I live in the area. De Blasio is a complete dufus and not in any way national material—even for the Left. (And he is an outright communist.)

It’s not a terrible idea. Leftists want a champion against Hillary, and Warren may not oblige. He is a creation of the public employee and health care unions — and they have never had one of their own as the nominee; Warren is good for them but De Blasio infinitely better. He has an African-American wife and that worked extremely well for him in getting the African-American vote in the Mayoral primary in 2013, no reason it couldn’t do that for him in the key early states of South Carolina and Florida.

President DeBlasio would provide continuity in the WH in more ways than one. He is as mindlessly radical as Obama, albeit perhaps with a less Muslim slant. And, instead of a half-white/half-black president, we’d get a half-white/half-black First Couple. Wheeeeee!

I think more likely Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders will run and get the nomination. I am still doubtful that Hillary will even run.

Damn you, sir! I have been beaten to the punch yet again.

Only because I have the day off, and I had to take my son to school. He's on the basketball team, and their practices start at oh-dark-30 (6:30). I'm back on my regular schedule, the awesome "5-4-9": work 9 hours/day for nine days, get the 10th off.

I spend those days off with my now 4 YO grandson. It's awesome!

Blasio is insane. He eats pizza with a fork.

I eat pizza with a fork if a plate and fork is available. I hope blasio runs and wins the democrat nomination, either we will beat the democrats badly, everywhere, and start down the path of getting America back on track, the fast track if we do it with Senator Cruz, or it will be over our Constitutional Republic will be ended.

The NY GOP chairman can’t predict the winner of a once person race reliably.
