From what I gather, WWP does little in the way of providing services...they take the donations and after paying something on the order of 65% “administrative” costs, portion out the rest to existing organizations...
Any organization that has such high “operating costs” is highly suspect and deservedly so.
The ARC with their 6 figure salaries were probably the impetus for these folks and their 6 figure salaries.
Salvation Army, Disabled Vets of America or a local veterans home would probably be the best bang for your buck.
I think this is revenge for the GOP not accepting him as a potential candidate for President. I can’t help but wonder if he’s been looking for an excuse.
He may win the straw poll at CPAC, but that crowd tends to be quite young (as far as political groups go); and quite ignorant about how libertarian philosophy goes; giving the impression that Rand has much more appeal than he really has.
I felt exactly the same way about his dad. I don’t trust either of them .. and I’m positive dad is in the background rooting his son on .. because that would also put dad in a power position.
But .. if Ted Cruz runs for president, and he’s on the stage with Rand Paul in a debate, Ted will come out ahead - having been a “debate champion” at both Princeton and Harvard.
Agreed.
Charity has become a major scam.
Beware.
Rand has sure been sucking up to Ditch Mitch lately.
WWP shows less than 6% to administration

They do spend a lot on fundraising.
If Net Neutrality is not the answer to the problem for it adding regulation, then what would be the better path that achieves the goal of more competition (so that Comcast's actions are discouraged by the markets)?
If the problem is that some people are downloading terabytes of data per month, then bring back total data tiers and payments (along with very easy tracking for the customer to prevent overages).
That's something that has yet to be done reliably. The other part is that metered access takes a large step backwards. Finally, it tends to turn a basic, no-nonsense connection to a walled garden with very little incentive to provide quality.
Doesn’t answer my question. I’m ready to stomp on them and tell my friends if they are a BS organization, but I don’t know facts of the claim. That is why I asked.
There was a an anti Salvation Army rumor in Oregon during last years Christmas fund raiser. The rumor was that they were anti-gay.
The rumor was traced to Oregon Government gay lawyers. They didn’t like that the Salvation Army is Christian based. Lots of people only heard the rumor and not the origin or reason. Salvation Army lost donations from their little democrat “prank”
Thanks, that was the info I was looking for.
Salvation Army and Disabled Vets of America are two of my main charities.
I am not here to do your research.
I was just trying to help.
SA and DAV are legit.
The money that is left is given to other charities that subtract their fund raising and administration expenses.
Very inefficient.

http://www.veteranstoday.com/2013/12/08/wounded-warriors-project-a-legal-scam/
This info deserves its own thread.
Wounded Warriors Project is not just a giant scam. They are stealing from the legit veteran charities that would otherwise get the donations.
Especially around this time of year.
Thanks for the info. Will definitely be making changes to my monthly contributions. Thanks again.
Your apparent irritation with my calming post, shows that you are the one needing the decaf.
NOT ALL; just some.
However, per the last election, there are more of the NOT ALL’s than they used to be.
