NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Latest dispatch from the "dissent is patriotic" is dead front: Howard Dean has accused people who don't share his political views of being "authoritarian people who fundamentally don't believe in democracy."

Poor Howard, who declared the times to be very "frightening and disconcerting," made his astounding accusation on today's Up With Steve Kornacki while attempting to explain the Republican sweep on the statehouse level.

The word republican, with the root republic, should be a clue dimwit Dean. Democracy is mob rule.

This is an authoritarian group of people

It is the libtards that believe that the people are like helpless children, who are inferior to the state, who is like a nurturing parent. They are helpless because they are too stupid to be able to comprehend the great motives and actions of the leaders of the state. And so, they have a duty to be submissive and obedient to the all-powerful state.

Inflexible and irrational, while not mutually exclusive, are not the same thing.

Hey Dean, we have here what we call a REPUBLIC. Look it up if you don’t understand what that means.

Well said! It was our Founding Fathers who fundamentally did not believe in Democracy, and who gave us a Republic instead. If we can keep it, as Benjamin Franklin would remind us...

A lot of people, including many Americans, use “Democracy” as shorthand for a variety of types of government.

People who pay attention understand democracy is mob rule.

Yeah, they hate republicans while in the very next breath decrying their own corrupt and incompetent governments.

It's called cognitive dissonance.

What they are angling for is to criminalize conservative speech. Democrats are violent thugs. All of them.

You're right - it's who they are...

Cognitive dissonance is a DAILY occurrence for many people for many things. Weight Watchers is a HOME of people who KNOW they should eat better and less and EXERCISE. However, the two sides battle and the fatties take to the WW meetings.

Since WW is the most successful way to keep weight off (Anyone can lose the weight temporarily.) it's a going and growing business, with the FORMER FATTIES as the group leaders.
