As our friend Daniel Horowitz of Conservative Review said, "Its as if the November 4 elections never occurred."
Today, the new House membership met in a private conclave and reelected every one of their top leaders by voice vote. This includes John Boehner (R-OH) as Speaker, Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as Majority Leader, Steve Scalise (R-LA) as Majority Whip, and Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) as Conference Chair.
And as Horowitz observed, "At a time of one of the worst constitutional crises in our nations history, when the president is threatening to imminently remake our society with immigration amnesty a policy over which Congress holds absolute power Republican leadership elections lacked any debate on strategy to stop this crisis. None of these people had to provide a platform or a commitment as to how they will deal with this dangerously imperial president. None of them had to make commitments to defund any and all lawless activity. They were all reelected by voice vote."
Just hours before winning reelection to his speakership, Breitbart reported that Boehner said the following to Obama about paying his ransom on immigration:
After a White House meeting last week, Republicans described Speaker John Boehner aggressively confronting President Obama over the president's planned executive amnesty, prompting an extended period of a defensive Obama attempting to justify his actions. But a key moment of the meeting, left out from those accounts, was unveiled by Boehner himself, when according to Horowitz, in an exuberant moment of boasting in a closed-door meeting with GOP colleagues minutes ago. Boehner recalled telling Obama, Mr. President, just give us one more chance to do this the right way. If we can't, then do what you gotta do.
So Boehner is telling Obama that he will have the green light to pass amnesty, but asked for permission to try one more time to pass it legislatively? Horowitz had this quote mentioned by Breitbart confirmed by several people in the room when Boehner said it.
Read that again. Boehner told the GOP conference behind closed doors that he told Obama he has the green light to shred our constitution and destroy our sovereignty if Republicans dont do it through regular order. And then he was reelected Speaker just hours later!
This fight is not over, not by a long shot. Game on. Conservatives will be watching.

Call or write your legislator today (the Capitol switchboard is 1-866-220-0044) tell Capitol Hill Republicans that you voted for them to stand tall and fight the Obama Reid plan to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens and that you future support of the Republican Party will stand or fall on their opposition to granting amnesty to illegal aliens..
Here’s the problem with your answer: we don’t need ‘immigration reform’.
What we need is our present laws enforced and our border defended from invasion.
With our unemployment of U.S. citizens at so high a percentage, we do not need immigrants, and certainly not after discovering they make up 42% of the people on medicaid!
Yeah-—abort is good-—so convenient-—a word they love.
something happened - they are not republicans anymore
I’m saying that doesn’t mean what the author is saying.
It means after the first of the year Republicans in the House will come up with something on immigration, because that is all it says.
That could just as well mean e-verify, a razor wire border fence, limited work permits, go home and get at the back of the line, whatever. It has to pass the House and that isn’t a dictatorship.

Check out this transcript of Rush from yesterday explaining the dire situation were now in with Obama poised to issue amnesty by executive fiat:

As I explained in op-eds many months ago, this is clearly an impeachable offense and really should be the last straw because its a direct assault on the suffering American worker of all races and backgrounds. Though I was mocked for saying so at the time, now others are finally agreeing that this is an impeachable offense:

I’m in Florida today for a speech, and I look forward to speaking truth on this issue and reminding folks that we were right on this topic and others long before it was fashionable.

Anything Obama does, they intend to fund
Holy s***, I hate these damn mother f***ers!

*************************************************************
I don’t read this as an approval nor an invitation directed at Obama. Boehner is simply asking the bumbler to give the Congress a chance to present something to him BEFORE he does anything on his own.
It makes no difference if Boehner said “do what you have to do” because clearly no one can STOP the president from doing what he wants. Whatever Obama does may or may not remain in effect but as I said no one can prevent him from issuing an EO.
This backstabber makes me sick.
“Its as if the November 4 elections never occurred.”
Wrong. Do any of you remember what the GOP was doing, not doing, and saying before the elections? Not in October, but in the months before? I do. They were saying “we need to crush the Tea Party because they’re stopping our amnesty, causing government shutdowns, and keeping our members from voting for big government.” The were saying that, and they won. Instead of saying “it’s like the election never happened,” we should say, “it’s as if their victory validates their pre-election agenda.” Which, of course, it does. They were Marxist-lite, we couldn’t defeat them in primaries, but we still voted for them anyway, why the heck would they change?
I don’t think I’m saying it very well. Do yall understand?
Neither the Democrats or the Republicans can be trusted with our liberrty. They do not represent or give a shit about the American people only their special little groups. As long as current GOP leadership exist American sovereignty is not safe.
Why are hispanics so much more important to the GOP and DNC than the rest of us. Why do hispanics want to flood the USA with more Hispanic. What is their agenda? Reconquestia?
Does Obama, with the help of the COC really see this as his path to a making new country out of the former USA?
Well well well, why am I not surprised?
So many in Congress are a bunch of sell out traitorous crooks. The likes of Harry Reid. They are in it for themselves and could give a rat's behind about the average American worker. Unfortunately, their children and grandchildren will reap the terrible repercussions their relatives are bringing on our nation in the future and the job market. The ChiComs are gobbling up real estate throughout America the Beautiful. Why wage a war when you can buy it for a lot cheaper? Look at the bright side, maybe they will allow their American slaves to stay and work on some of the plantations. I'm sure Obama's ChiCom buddies are pushing hard for illegal alien amnesty.
We need to reach out to black urban pastors and other moderate leaders. Amnesty will destroy the chance for black labor to recover.
We’ve lost the Chamber and big business on this issue, we need to scare some Democrats into voting no.
Where oh where ARE all those “No matter what” and “Feet to the fire” frauds these past few days? I have only seen the dumber of the lot come out to defend their position.
BTW, several of us are owed the words ‘You were right’. Anyone wanna bet we never hear them?
It does appear that you were right.
Then again, I said this was the Republicans’ last chance.
