I tell you what, Republicans have their chance and if they fail because they want to perpetuate leftist policies I won’t ever cast a vote for any of them again. That’s a promise.

There went that election. Why in Hell did they elect a liberal???

I guess in the next election I need to not vote for any Republican. None. I voted for a Republican Senate and got a liberal to dictate to it. Might as well have voted for any Democrat. Might as well have not voted at all.

Huh? Why are they voting now, before the new senators take office?

The new caucus members were there for orientation, they voted.

In plain speak "elected by acclamation" means by voice vote. This means whoever presided over the meeting called the results of the vote.

If no non-RINO there contested it, hopefully it's to wait till the newly elected GOP Senators arrive - for a better shot at ousting McConnell.

They may not could offically vote but since it was by acclamations I suspect they
are considered as voting aye. All the new senators are in DC getting familiar with the
routines, etc. I assume Cassidy etc would be there also getting the info.

How is this possible, if the new Senate isn’t there yet??

This procedure was instituted back in the late 1700s.
Things don’t change much.

I’m laughing my ass off at the idiots who bought the Party Hacks’ insults that the only way to stop Obama was to vote for Republicans.

We are about to see, in very short order - that the GOP will rubber stamp Obama’s dictatorship and agenda, and the first casualty - is Conservatism.

Conservatives are now being rendered politically irrelevant and that pogram will be accelerated under the Ruling Class GOP.

We now get to discover who the real Mitch McConnell is. Is he the conservative he’s always claimed to be who has gone covert to work his way to the top, or is he just another big spending, insider functionary of the Uniparty.

They’ll say there is no money for a border fence while spending trillions in borrowed money on entitlements and graft
