Obamacare Architect: ‘Stupidity of American Voter’ Was ‘Critical’ to Passing Obamacare
Washington Free Beacon ^ | 11/10/14 | Washington Free Beacon

In a video that surfaced on Friday, economist and Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber said “lack of transparency” and “stupidity of the American voter” were “critical” to passing the president’s unpopular health care law.

“Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage,” Gruber said. “Call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever. But basically, that was really, really critical to getting the thing to pass.”

Gruber added that he wished “we could make it all transparent,” but said the bill would not have passed if not for the administration’s art of deception on key features of the law.

“This bill was written in a tortured way to make sure CBO did not score the mandate as taxes,” Gruber said. “If you had a law that made explicit that healthy people pay in and sick people get money, it would not have passed.”

Gruber made clear that deliberately lying to the American people was a necessary measure in the passage of Obamacare.

“There’s things that I wish could change,” Gruber said. “But I’d rather have this law than not.”

Could this perhaps provide grounds for legal challenges to the law? This admission seems INFINITELY worse than the usual politicking and payoffs that occurred. This admission should be grounds for ejection from Congress and permanent disbarment of any lawyer Dem Congressman. If it is tied to Obastard, then solid grounds for impeachment. This must certainly rise to High Crimes against the people.

“Obamacare Architect: ‘Stupidity of American Voter’ Was ‘Critical’ to Passing Obamacare”

I don’t disagree with this, nor the fact the stuipid people were WHY obama got elected in the first place.

What I object to is the fact they PROMOTE govt. policies that CREATE Stuipid people so they can stay in power to PASS Legislation that CREATE MORE stuipid people!

And the fact they don’t “Just have good intentions” but that they are Diabolical in their use of the “useful idiots” they themselves create!

His comments regarding transparency and tortuousness are from a much longer video:

He makes a comment about a “time bomb” of costs rising to 17% of income. (time index: 23:15)

This is not news. Anybody performing a scant modicum of due diligence as a voter knew what was behind this. That journalist would not disclose the truth. That is constitutional and institutional criminality.

Wasn’t it Daschle’s book that tried to take HillaryCare! lessons, and learn from them to pass ØCare - basically, do it stealthily. Too much, actually any, scrutiny would doom the bill.

Stupidity was only needed before the 2008 election. That and the 4 Senate seats they stole. This was not a campaign issue. Most of America knew they were lying and did not want it. Americans even elected a REPUBLICAN senator in MASS. to stop it. The RATS stuffed it down our throats anyways!

Here is Jonathan Gruber, who got $400K as an Obamacare architect, contradicting himself on the Halbig (subsidies for ObamaCare enrollees) decision.

It begins with a clip of him lying on the Chris Matthews show Hardball.

Next there are clips with Gruber lecturing, this time using the truth, at a conference.

It’s a minute thirty seconds

The difference between the Fabian socialists and the radicals.

The Fabians hate Obama because he “tipped their hand”.

Could this perhaps provide grounds for legal challenges to the law?

Gruber's more crucial admission was recorded January 18, 2012: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34rttqLh12U

This matters in King v. Burwell. The IRS has decided that subsidies should be paid to residents of states that have failed to set up exchanges, i.e., that Congress made a typo when they wrote the opposite in the law. King v. Burwell aims to force the law to be enforced as written. Of course, the 'Rats are arguing that it is indeed a typo – how could they have been so stupid as to write the law that way deliberately?

However, Gruber shows that it was not a typo, just a failed political calculation. The 'Rats thought the provision would force the states to set up exchanges. They didn't anticipate their bluff being called. Thus, the law is indeed the law, and must be enforced!
