It's Official (He's Running) Dr. Ben Carson Just Made a Major Announcement

Dr. Ben Carson, the famous neurosurgeon and conservative super star, has made a major announcement: HE IS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT!

Officially, Carson – who just became a Republican after spending years as an Independent – is ready to challenge the policies of President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. And it all begins with a 40-minute long television special he is sponsoring to introduce himself:

The documentary titled “A Breath of Fresh Air: A New Prescription for America” will air in 22 states and Washington, DC. The paid video will detail some of his biography and family life, including his rise from being born to a single mother with a poor childhood in Detroit to director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins for almost 40 years, known for his work separating conjoined twins, to potential 2016 presidential candidate.

Carson first became a conservative star when last year he created a buzz at the National Prayer Breakfast when in front of an audience that included President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden spoke out about political correctness, health care and taxes.

He also called for a private health care savings plan and a flat tax in a speech that went viral and led to an editorial in the Wall Street Journal titled Ben Carson for President. He is known as a fierce opponent of the president’s health care law known as Obamacare.

Hey, don't forget this good one too ... I am always leery of any political candidate whose first race for public office is POTUS.

I also think he is not only ill suited for the job he has no relevant experience.

I’m thinking either Scott or Cruz (yea, yea, yea eligibility).

Never Rubio or Paul or Perry and for damn sure not Romney or any of the other last round has beens.

I’m liking Scott because he has beaten off serious attacks with very little overt fanfare. That takes toughness and a cool head.

Observe, listen and thoughtfully evaluate before engaging in trashing the candidates.

...and I might add, don’t trash any of them; it only gives the National Socialist Democrats additional ammunition backed by the mouthings of the conservative trashers. We get enough of that from the RINOs/GOPe.

Impressive as Dr. Carson is, and he is, we can’t ever give the most important job in the world to an untried, unproven individual again, black or white.

“There is no perfect candidate and Reagan has not yet risen from the dead...”

Ronald Reagan was a great president. In spite of:

Signing an abortion bill as governor that sent abortion rates soaring.

Proposed and signed the anti-gun laws of open carry in California.

Amnesty.

Leaving our Marines exposed in Lebanon. And then high-tailing it out of there after the attack.’

Even after his presidency he had a short period where he thought the Brady Bill was a good idea.

Not to mention the wonderful first lady that had some of her own ideas that don’t fit the conservative views.

If FR had been around back then, Reagan would have been given a hard time on here, and who knows where this country would be now if Reagan hadn’t been elected.

I’m not a Ben Carson fan, yet. We’ll see.

If Carson got the nomination, he would do great with Conservatives and bring some minorities who normally vote Democrat over, without trying to pander to them.

As a minority, I agree wholeheartedly, not that I would simply prefer a conservative minority candidate, I agree it would go a long ways to tearing down the left's wall of the left cares for minorities. Which we all know here is the left's deception to accumulate more power and control for themselves.

The left will do anything to keep this from happening and expose their deceptions. All we have to look at is Herman Cain's election campaign and see how all their powers come together to try to destroy the man before he got started. With conservative minorities coming on board with the Republican party, it's already starting to tear down the left's wall but I agree, a conservative minority presidential candidate would do wonders for exposing the left's fraud when it come to minorities.

Watch liberals heads explode as they've been told all their lives that Republicans and conservatives are racist and a minority is leading the party, lol

Since he’s a doctor, I wonder if he’ll continue the smoke-nazi agenda.

Announcing/running for president will provide a nice platform for Dr. Carson in the future to make money on the lecture circuit, sell books & be a talking head on cable TV news.

So is it against your self-imposed rules of engagement to debate and discuss someone who has declared himself for examination as a candidate for the position of leadership of the United States or would you prefer to have another president anointed as the candidate without vetting?

Is debate and discussion of a candidate by the governed who agree to be governed by their own consent not an acceptable topic to you?

As I recall, the last one clearly revealed himself, his principles and plans in at least two books neither of which were discussed by the party who nominated him. Do not republicans have a responsibility to the country to offer a suitable and vetted candidate. NO there is no perfect candidate but there are bad choices and it is the responsibility of those who would propose to promote that candidate to vet him.

I’m not a fan yet but he has a lot of positives. It remains to be seen who else pops out of the woodwork.

I like Cruz a bit more but unless the real contenders get out there early, take the heat and coalesce a enough solid support to charge out over the RINOs we’ll be running another Bush or worse (if that’s possible).
